Oh, wow!  I had a coworker who got married there.  Her colors were red & black...and against all of the foliage and Chihuly it was just gorgeous.  I can't wait for November because I wanna see your photos... he he!  Smiley

lol, no I already got married, this past November. A link to my pics is already in this thread, here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=53280.msg803425#msg803425
We also had a red theme, it worked really well with the greenery

  • Were you at a conservatory?  Beautiful backgrounds!  Our local garden has weddings & yours made me think of them  http://www.fpconservatory.org/  Nevermind, you answered me further down the page.  Smiley

Sweets, that's where I got married in November! I love that place, its sooooo beautiful. Its so nice to get married at a place like that because you almost feel like you're outdoors but you don't have to worry about rain or anything.

lucid501, that apron looks adorable on you!!  Cheesy  Time to start baking!  Cheesy
Cheesy that's just what my husband said--now I can stay in the kitchen all the time, lol. I always thought I would like a half apron for some reason, but I don't know what I was thinking because the full apron is great! Plus I like that it slips on over my head rather than ties, that way it doesn't twist around at all. Thanks again!

I took pictures of everything! But now I can't upload them until tomorrow because our card reader is for some reason at the in-laws house, so I can't put them on the computer   Cry We're going over there tomorrow afternoon so I'll get it back and upload them tomorrow night, definately. Also, I forgot to mention in my original post, Sonjaboo also sent me a lovely pincushion made in a teacup! (I knew I was forgetting something....)

ETA: pictures have been added in my original post! (A few posts up)

Wow, thanks so much for all the advice everyone!  Grin We will be moving within the next two weeks and then I am definately going to get some plants to try my hand at. It will be so nice to grow edible things, I never really thought I could do that without space for a vegetable garden. Yay!

I received today from sonjaboo!!  Grin I haven't been home long enough to take pictures, and will be gone ALL day tomorrow, but I will post pictures on Sunday, I promise. I got such a fun package!

She sent me a full-length (vintage?) apron, which I love. A recipe card box that she customized, and filled with a whole bunch of vintage recipe cards (which I had seen before in my grandma's recipes and I loved), one notepad in the shape of/with a cover of a woman in an apron, one notepad for keeping track of a weekly menu (which is awesome because DH and I are just getting in the habit of planning meals in advance so that we won't eat out so much), a whole set of magnets with vintage looking pictures of women on them, and some cute vintage tupperware bowl magnets in awesome 70's colors.

But thats not all! There were also two vintage jelly (?) jars, clear with pretty lids, and a large 70s yellow tupperware salad bowl with salad spoons! And, she made an accordian fold book/scrapbook which says Beauty on the front and holds a picture and then the inside pages have pockets with cards in them. So cute! Sorry if I'm forgetting anything--I don't have the package in front of me---but when I get home on Sunday I will take pictures of everything to show off its wonderfulness.  Grin Thanks so much Sonjaboo!!

ETA pictures! Sorry it took so long!

and me wearing the vintage apron (excuse the mess. I'd like to say its because we're about to move, but really we're just messy)

lucid 501, unfortunately, I just got your package back in the mail yesterday-- and rather squished, at that.  Cry   I don't know what happened -- I am pretty ticked off!  Everything is ok though, so I am going to rebox it and send it again.  I am so sorry!!!  I am sending it out tomorrow morning, and I'll send it priority too you.  I feel horrible!
On no! That's so strange, I wonder why it came back? Don't feel like you have to spend extra to send it priority though, I can be patient  Grin

That stuff is sweet!  I love the TP cozy!  lol

For anyone interested in their very own Sushi TP Cozy, the pattern is here: http://crochetme.com/issue_1/sushi_tp_cover.html
I made the all crochet version and I would just say to fight the urge to make your white circle a tiny bit larger than the toilet paper roll. Mine ended up being too wide for a double-roll because the top still grew for a bit after I switched to black. As I pointed out to Sonjaboo in my note, it ended up doubling as a funny hat because its a bit too big  Tongue
