Why can't my hunter tame one of these! Come on Blizz!

That aside, awesome, I've always thought Sprites Darters were works of art, and you proved it. =]

I knew what I was going to make for this challenge as soon as it was posted.  The end product was nothing like what I planned, but its still AWESOME.  To give credit where it is due, I got the how-to for the books from http://www.instructables.com/id/Recycle-lamp-shade/

I call it English Major's Revenge, because . . . well, I am an English major, and after all those year of books sticking it too me I wanted to pay them back.  Its almost like a hunter and his collection of animal heads.  I have conquered books, and mounted them as trophies on my wall!

The lights are LED's so they get no where near hot enough to burn the paper, or even warm my cold hands.

The green part is an old window shutter, and the message can be changed as I feel like it.

We moved our dinner table to an area of the apartment not directly under a light fixture, so this was a necessity.  At least if we wanted to see our food. =]
16  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Poka, Erd, Velka and Rigi on: February 23, 2011 07:07:20 AM
When I scrolled to Velka, my 17 month old Daughter stopped her mini tantrum, pointed, smiled and said "baby".  Then she stared for about as long as she stares at anything.  I think you have a new fan.
17  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Steampunk Sidearm! (nerf mod) on: February 21, 2011 07:56:00 PM
The genius at Nerf who designed this model needs to be given an award.  I have seen so many amazing things done with it.  Your mod is one of the best!
18  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Healthy Kale Chips -- Really Easy to Make! on: February 21, 2011 09:25:54 AM
I made this for Thanksgiving last year.  And even though there was still some stuffing left, there was no kale!
19  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My Owl Purse for Blustery Spring on: February 18, 2011 10:00:09 AM

Ever since seeing this https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=366907.0 owl purse made by 85%confusion I've had to make one of my own.  It ended up looking nothing similar, but I had to give homage.

I used felt, and because my sewing machine is still broken I just did some simple hand sewing.  The lining is one of my favorite Happy Skull shirt which no longer fits. And because I believe in the law of three, here are 2 more pictures.

20  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Mature Valentines day treasure hunt. {I'm the Prize!} on: February 14, 2011 03:31:43 PM
