13  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Lets See Pics of Tattoos You Designed! on: January 28, 2011 07:19:28 AM
I have three tattoos.  I designed all of them and drew one of them onto my skin and then had it tattooed.

they are all about 20 years old now.

this one was my first:  I designed it from two separate knots I combined.  the middle part came from a  "celtic coloring book" it was the corners of a stained glass window in the book, and the outer part was based off a celtic knot flash piece I had seen....

this tattoo is a phoenix.  i had designed it, then my artist did this tat freehand off of my design.
yes the phoenix is going into the flame.  now I am thinking about having it finally rise from the ashes instead of going down into flames, due to life now....

I drew this one directly onto my foot and my friend tattoed it, I have never gotten it colored in because I could never decide what i wanted at first and then i found out i really like doing things like henna or markers and such and switching it up.  it is like my own little coloring book i suppose...

15  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Texas Tech Afghan on: January 28, 2011 06:31:06 AM
It would look a lot better if it was an "A"for Alabama  Wink

but seriously, really nice!  I have been crocheting for over thirty years and am just now thinking about doing an afghan lol

I was going to do like granny squares or something I can ease into (it seems like a big undertaking) but you have inspired me, maybe I will just go for it!

I also like the art- did you do it?

I really love the ring especially.  I used to have one like that- where do you find something like that blank?  Jewelry is not my specialty, but I think I want to make one of those for me!  maybe two (I have some killer beads)

20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Reversible Lunch Bag on: January 26, 2011 07:32:39 AM
I made this yesterday for my man.  He wants to start taking my amazing cooking for lunch, he can't tolerate anymore kitchen nightmares! (last time he went to "one of the best places in town" a mouse jumped out of the ceiling!!!)

I made it with great fabric on both sides, so I ended up overcasting the seams (I had never done that yet and wanted to play with it because I want to make a crazy quilt) and then reinforced that since it would be carrying stuff with a stitch for stretch fabrics.  I was lucky to receive an amazing Brother sewing machine last year for valentine's day and I am still discovering just how awesome it is!

I have always done cross stitch but lately have been trying to get better at embroidery, so I stitched a "W" his last initial on it, that is on both sides.

I LOVE the plaid fabric, I recently scored it for one or two dollars a yard.  I made him pajama pants, me pajama pants, me a long skirt, and this bag so far!
