11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Gypsy Colours Top on: March 04, 2012 04:38:45 PM
I have been dying to make this top for soooooo long! And with the exact colourful yarn that has been eyeing me at Michael's since the day I first started crocheting! I call it gypsy colours because I am constantly reminded of them every time I look at the yarn! For your info, I'm pretty sure it was Paton's something-something.... Wink Anyway, here we go!

The lighting's a bit off, but the colours are nicer looking than that Tongue
12  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / A Real Poncho on: March 04, 2012 04:32:29 PM
Hey Craftster! I hope you don't remember this, but I made a bit of a disaster of a poncho in November. I posted it anyway and regret it very much, but hey, I guess it's just a stepping stone on the path of crochet! So now I have a better, real one for y'all Cheesy I crocheted it out of 2 skeins of yarn, but it's still kind of short. Oh well, I guess it's just another stepping stone!

My apologies if the pictures are a tad blurry!
13  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Discussion and Questions / Curious Question on: February 21, 2012 05:22:10 PM
Hi there! I've recently become increasingly interested in the craft of weaving. So I was wondering, when weaving on a loom can you make weavings in different shapes, or is it just the "rectangle". Or if you want to weave different shapes, is that done on a shaped loom of some sort?

Appreciate anyone's help!
14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / What Should I do with This on: February 12, 2012 12:32:05 PM
Hi there, I have a question on what I should do with this

It's like the cap for a Gwen Stefani Harajuku Girls perfume bottle. I was thinking of it being a part of some sort of jewelry. It's a little 'thick' so piercing it manually may be out of the question.

Here's what the under part looks like.

Any suggestions are welcome!
15  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A Little Experiment..... on: February 12, 2012 12:27:44 PM
I've always wanted to try knitting with something, other than your everyday-yarn. I decided to conduct an experiment with Loops&Threads embroidery thread, and knit a scarf. I have to say, it went rather well, except my hands tired quickly from holding something so thin!

16  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Tropical Spring Skirt on: February 12, 2012 12:06:57 PM
I'm happy to say that one of the biggest projects I set up for myself, has been completed in less than a week! I've been dying to make this skirt! I wanted to crochet a skirt that I could possibly wear throughout the year. I used orange and multicolour cotton yarn, which is pleasantly lighter than the other types! The waistline is regular black yarn that is Tunisian crochet. To finish it off, a long ribbon so it would be more fitted Cheesy. I hope like it as much  as I do!

17  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Purse & Scarf on: February 04, 2012 03:32:23 PM
For Christmas I received a giftcard to Micheal's, and bought all the yarn I possibly could! Although I hadn't realised I still had some from the previous year. Including some from August (which I had bought in Toronto at a little shop called  Lettuce Knits).
Without any further adieu, here are my stashbusting projects!

18  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Who You Gonna Call? STASHBUSTERS! on: February 04, 2012 03:02:25 PM
Hey y'all! Here are a whole bunch of projects I've crocheted since last post. I recently made this crazy HUGE trip to Michael's, and returned home realizing that I still have a lot of old (but perfectly fine) yarn. So I threw myself into a fine crafting frenzy! Enjoy Smiley

Thanks for looking!
19  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / What's it called? on: January 29, 2012 02:55:15 PM
Hi, first time posting in this section! I never thought much about engaging in papercraft very much until recently. I was watching Confessions of A Teenage Drama Queen, and in the movie, Lindsey Lohan's character Lola has this type of scrapbook full of pop-up collages of her favourite band. My question is that I was wondering if there was a name or word for that type of paper craft, or is it just scrapbooking with individualism? 'Cause I'm very interested in making one!
~Thanks if you can help!
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Bringing in the New Year with a Dress! on: January 21, 2012 01:37:44 PM
Hey y'all, and Happy New Year, sorry it's a little late for that, but I hope this new project post will take your mind off that! Although it hasn't even been a year I am very confident in my crochet and knit skills (crochet: since February 2011, knitting: since July 2011). Around early October, I believe I made a trip to Michael's and in the yarn section were ads for a contest. The contest was hosted by Vanna White (from Wheel of Fortune), who has her own brand of yarn with the company Lion Brand Yarns. You could knit or crochet from a pattern or make your own. Of course I made my own since I still struggle at reading patterns. The one mandatory thing to follow; was that you had to use Vanna's Choice yarn, which wasn't bad because her yarns are super plush! You could also use some other Lion Brand yarns too, just not as much. But anyways, without further ramblings here is my knitted dress!

I started this dress in early December and finished it, January 9th!
