2  First Sweater! in Crochet: Completed Projects by Jazz the Spazz on: April 15, 2012 02:36:23 PM
When I started crocheting, I told myself that I would never go with the status-quo. Never would I want to even consider making solely doilies, scarves, mitts, even sweaters. Recently I decided to challenge myself and try to make my own wardrobe (since I craft every second I get). What I realized was that I really needed some more sweaters! And that was that!
You may recognize the yarn I used, it's from a backpack I crocheted in a previous post. the backpack didn't "work out" but, I swear I've been using the same beige Vanna White yarn for three months, knitting then unraveling, crocheting, then unraveling!! Hopefully this project will stay in place!

The core of the sweater is knit b/c I meant to knit most of it, but I ended up crocheting more, so it's only fit to put it here, right? Wink

3  Sweet Blue Sixteen in Crochet: Completed Projects by Jazz the Spazz on: April 01, 2012 06:14:22 PM
Attention Craftster! I am 16 as of March 30, and couldn't be happier! And if your wondering, no I honestly don't feel different physically Wink But my crochet mentality has sure come a long way. I decided a long time ago that I was going to crochet my sweet sixteen dress, and happily did so from March.19 to March 23 (which was the last week of Spring Break).
I'm also quite excited to say that this dress is inspired by Avatar (my most favourite movie in the world!). You can probably see it in the beading, I made sure to buy tribal inspired beads and such. A confession: I became quite lazy over the last days of spring break and wasn't as generous with my beading as I wish I was! But no matter what this dress will always have a special place in my heart!

Please excuse my pictures, all of them are take n on my mom's IPhone!

4  C&B in Crochet: Completed Projects by Jazz the Spazz on: March 10, 2012 10:22:09 AM
C&B= Cowl and Backpack!
I couldn't be prouder of my backpack! First one I've ever made, and I plan on using it 'till it falls to the ground. As for my cowl, it was supposed to be a tunisian crocheted purse, but there's no loss there!

Thanks for looking!

5  Miles of Headware! in Crochet: Completed Projects by Jazz the Spazz on: March 10, 2012 10:16:59 AM
So once again I find myself crocheting hats, LOTS! Usually this would annoy me, but I decided to give myself some variety and made some headbands too Roll Eyes. There is something important about these recent hats too, I made a batch of 12 to donate to the maternity ward of the hospital my aunt works in. I am very happy about that Cheesy.

My hats/headbands:

6  Gypsy Colours Top in Crochet: Completed Projects by Jazz the Spazz on: March 04, 2012 04:38:45 PM
I have been dying to make this top for soooooo long! And with the exact colourful yarn that has been eyeing me at Michael's since the day I first started crocheting! I call it gypsy colours because I am constantly reminded of them every time I look at the yarn! For your info, I'm pretty sure it was Paton's something-something.... Wink Anyway, here we go!

The lighting's a bit off, but the colours are nicer looking than that Tongue

7  A Real Poncho in Crochet: Completed Projects by Jazz the Spazz on: March 04, 2012 04:32:29 PM
Hey Craftster! I hope you don't remember this, but I made a bit of a disaster of a poncho in November. I posted it anyway and regret it very much, but hey, I guess it's just a stepping stone on the path of crochet! So now I have a better, real one for y'all Cheesy I crocheted it out of 2 skeins of yarn, but it's still kind of short. Oh well, I guess it's just another stepping stone!

My apologies if the pictures are a tad blurry!

8  What Should I do with This in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by Jazz the Spazz on: February 12, 2012 12:32:05 PM
Hi there, I have a question on what I should do with this

It's like the cap for a Gwen Stefani Harajuku Girls perfume bottle. I was thinking of it being a part of some sort of jewelry. It's a little 'thick' so piercing it manually may be out of the question.

Here's what the under part looks like.

Any suggestions are welcome!

9  A Little Experiment..... in Knitting: Completed Projects by Jazz the Spazz on: February 12, 2012 12:27:44 PM
I've always wanted to try knitting with something, other than your everyday-yarn. I decided to conduct an experiment with Loops&Threads embroidery thread, and knit a scarf. I have to say, it went rather well, except my hands tired quickly from holding something so thin!

10  Tropical Spring Skirt in Crochet: Completed Projects by Jazz the Spazz on: February 12, 2012 12:06:57 PM
I'm happy to say that one of the biggest projects I set up for myself, has been completed in less than a week! I've been dying to make this skirt! I wanted to crochet a skirt that I could possibly wear throughout the year. I used orange and multicolour cotton yarn, which is pleasantly lighter than the other types! The waistline is regular black yarn that is Tunisian crochet. To finish it off, a long ribbon so it would be more fitted Cheesy. I hope like it as much  as I do!
