4  Concord Singer in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by kjandy21 on: June 12, 2011 09:00:48 PM
In my town, we have an all-male chorus called the Concord Singers. They sing mostly traditional German music.  One of my friends is in the group, and asked me to make him a doll.  I was very confused where to start, but then I remembered Pixelated Mushroom's Dr. Who patterns, and lo and behold, one worked!  I added the suspenders and fiddled with the legs to get the white socks and I made the vest red, which is part of the costume they where.  Here is the finished product!  A big big big thank you to Pixelated Mushroom for your awesome patterns! Grin

5  Yar, here be a pirate kitty! IMG HEAVY in Crochet: Completed Projects by kjandy21 on: January 14, 2011 11:30:24 AM
So if you are like me and have kitties, you know about the treasure hunting in the litter box every day to keep it clean.  Grin  I also put the treasures into plastic bags and then throw it out right away. I didn't have a plastic bag holder and they were multiplying fast than I was using them, so I made a plastic bag holder that's a kitty!  Its not overly large, it holds about 12 plastic bags.  I'm still debating to put on a peg leg and other legs and a tail....I will probably make ears though.

C & C welcome!

Hanging so nice:

6  Shawl-tastic in Crochet: Completed Projects by kjandy21 on: January 12, 2011 06:16:39 PM
This is a shawl I made for one of my clients for our secret Santa at work.  I got the pattern from crochet-me. I think. I have the info written somewhere.  Its called Wheelchair wrap or something like that.  Super easy! I added the tie-tassels as an afterthought.  So, the first pic is it flat, the second is my mom hamming it up modeling for me.  Grin

7  Re: TARDIS iPod sleeve in Crochet: Completed Projects by kjandy21 on: January 09, 2011 10:27:47 AM
I love this! I had to make one right away!  My mom loved it and is going to steal it from me for her ipod, so I will have to make another!  Thanks for the pattern!  Here's a picture of mine.  Grin

I couldn't find my F or G hook, so I had to use my H hook.  My niece has been getting into my craft stuff and hiding it around the house! Luckily my H hook was in my bag I take to work.

8  Pink creature in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by kjandy21 on: December 06, 2010 01:56:32 PM
Here's a little bear/dog/pig I made for my niece's Christmas present. We'll see what she calls it. Probably "baby" since that's all she's been saying for the past month!

I made it in RHSS. I don't remember the real name, but it's the really bright pink! and a purple dress. Smiley

The pattern is from the Red Heart page. It is supposed to be a pig, but I just got some safety noses, and really wanted to use one. I just omitted the snout and tail from the pattern.  I'm still not very good at sewing things together, but this is a lot better than one of my other projects that I'm too embarrassed to show!

9  Kitty Bed...and my first post/pattern! in Crochet: Completed Projects by kjandy21 on: November 08, 2010 10:05:52 PM
Hi everyone! First time poster, long time lurker.  Grin

Anyway, here is my most recent finished product. It is a cat bed I made for my cat, Sam. Hopefully I'll get a picture with her in it at some point.

It's really simple to make, here's a brief how-to:

Q hook
Cord-like yarn...I'm not sure exactly what I used, my grandma gave it to me. Almost feels like a chair-pad or rug yarn...But, it was like 3 strands of RRSS yarn smooshed together.

Ch 2
Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6)
Round 2: 2sc in each around (12)
Round 3: sc in next sc, 2sc in next (18)
Round 4-? keep single increasing until you get your desired width. (I increased to 48 sc all around)
Round ?: in BLO sc all around
Round ?: in both loops, sc around
Round ?-?: sc around until you get desired height for the sides. On last round, ss to next sc and finish off, weaving in ends!

I'm also going to make a removable mat to go in, so its a little more comfy for the kitty.

Thanks for looking! Critiques and comments appreciated!

...I need to post a few more times before I can add a picture...I think you can see it from my profile?

Here's the picture!
