2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / how to make this twist top??? on: August 05, 2014 09:27:38 PM
so i've been browsing the internet and i came across this top that i adore and would love to have in my closet.

the only problem is that it's too expensive for my student budget. it doesn't seem to have too many seams, therefore i feel like it wouldn't be that hard to make.
BUT i can't figure out how i would attach the back and the sleeves to the front

It took lots of time (thanks to my talent for procrastination) but I've finally finished this skirt and I'm super duper excited to wear it! So excited, that I didn't even iron it before taking a picture  Roll Eyes

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / You're a trendsetter, Charlie Brown! on: May 13, 2012 09:27:22 PM
so i made this last night!

i've been meaning to make a charlie brown shirt since last year but i've never had the material/time/motivation until finally, i just dove into making it.

as you can see, it's not quite finished because i've yet to figure out the secret to successful neck-banding (no matter how many times i've read/watched tutorials!) but i'm happy with how it turned out.

i used acrylic paint for the stripe and nail polish remover for the paint i spilled on my carpet ;P

hope you like it!

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / how to make this dress? on: December 21, 2011 11:32:20 AM
so i was browsing etsy when i came across this dress

i love it! but i don't have the money to spend 50 buckaroos on it. it looks fairly simple to make, but i can't wrap my head around how i would make it.

do you have any links to tutorials that make this kind of dress? how would you make this dress?

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / paper harry potter wand w/ pics! on: November 13, 2011 06:46:35 PM
so i got the dvd for deathly hallows part 2 yesterday and in the parts where i wasn't crying, i started making this wand. it's based on my wand that pottermore assigned me Cheesy
it was so fun and easy to make and i'm planning on making more.
you can make your own using this tutorial: http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-an-awesome-Harry-Potter-wand-from-a-sheet-of-/

and here's a close-up of the handle

tell me what you think Smiley
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / help with draping? on: August 09, 2011 06:54:24 PM
i've found myself in a bit of a dilemma. i know how to drape and all that, but i find that i don't know how to make the top edges of a dress bodice look like there's no seam. i don't know if that makes sense, but i don't know how to make the top look so clean like in this picture:

i'm so confused...any help will be appreciated . thank youu :S
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / deathly hallows necklace :D (first jewelry post!) on: July 22, 2011 04:06:02 PM
soo i made this deathly hallows pendant the night before i watched DHP2 (SUCH. A . GOOD. MOVIE.). it's made out of glue gun glue (which, surprisingly, is pretty strong considering i've been wearing this everywhere) and painted with acrylic paint and clear nail polish.
just for kicks, here's a pic of it with stuff i collected from the cinemas over the past week (yes, i've seen it 2 times so far Cheesy )

by itself...

i love it cuz the glue makes it look sort of creepy Smiley

tell me what you think! Smiley
