She's lovely. Smiley
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Link (heart) Zelda on: May 07, 2012 06:58:26 PM
Thank you for the kind words. Smiley
I usually don't see this board much (I'm a bit more of a seamstress), but I believe I have fallen in love with embroidery.

And I had a blast trying something new.
He seemed to really like the gift as well, which was all I had hoped for. Smiley

Its so adorable, I love it! Am a great zelda fan myself lol.
I believe you made a mistake. It must be his wife or girlfriend who's expecting, and not himself Tongue Or maybe i just got the meaning wrong?
You are correct! haha he definitely won't be birthing his baby at all, but the situation is rather complicated.
It does sound funny, but whenever I think of it, it's always he's having a baby, so that's why I worded it that way.
Sorry for the confusion! I'm glad you like it though, thank you for taking the time to comment.
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Link (heart) Zelda on: May 04, 2012 09:04:22 PM
A friend of mine let me know in November that he had recently found out he was expecting.
He's a youngin' like me, but he's gonna make a grand poppa.

I'm incredibly ecstatic for him, so for Christmas I made his child-to-be a little something.
I think it's adorable. My first free-hand attempt at cross-stitching as well.
My fingers hated me throughout the creation of it, but I believe they have forgiven me due to the loveliness that resulted from their hard work.

In Progress:

Because I found the underside to be so intriguing:

And here it is hidden away inside the book I gutted.
Along with a mini owl, mini stocking, and a letter for the almost poppa.

Oh! And it's been ages since I've posted on craftster, so I'm glad to be back!
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: 2010 What is everyone planning to make for Christmas? on: November 11, 2010 12:29:02 AM
I'm even more excited now. =]
I'm doing a mix of store-bought and crafted items so that I don't completely overwhelm myself.
My current life situation is incredibly odd due to the fact that the boyfriend of almost three years is now my ex.
He spoiled me though and now I'm retaliating a little.

Drummer, artsy. I've done a lot handmade for him already and he seems to enjoy it, but I'm not being all personal this year due to our changed state.
5G 16GB iPod, filled with music in a lovely wooden box i snagged.
decorated drumsticks (I've done a pair every Christmas)
fake cigs (he's picked up a bit of an addiction, it's all in good humor though)
simple journal
silkscreened tie
sleepy time tea & a sleep mask (he's always had sleeping issues)
truffles (mainly for his little bro)

Crazy Asian Bestie:
panda pillowcase (inside joke)
nut stash box
rasta bracelet
don't know what else yet, she's also very artsy and loves animals and reggae. oh and tattoos, and hula.

Boy I'm "Talking To":
I'm not sure what's going on with us, so I don't want to be too sentimental and give off the wrong idea.
He likes working out, manual labor, biking.
Maybe a rice heat bag? And I don't know what else.

Little Sister(8yo):
hit girl pillowcase
hair accessories/jewelry

I want to get a typewriter and write out letters for a ton of people, casual friends, distant close friends, family.
And I'll probably do some type of baked good for the rest of my family.
I also need to think of gifts for my parents.

And Eliea, they weren't very hard at all.
They consist of a basic short pattern, with a top band added.
The rest of it I winged.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / It's been a long while. [floral overalls] on: March 18, 2009 08:57:49 PM
First off, it feels extremely good to be posting again.
Second, I apologize for the strange photos, but they are currently all I have.

Drafted the pattern on my own.
Beige fabric with red and green floral detail.
Pockets are a contrast red.
Fully functioning overall snaps.
Back straps criss cross.

It's for my collection in the school fashion show in May, yesss I wore it early.
BTW: Collection inspiration is EGL.

Sounds interesting.

10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: pack 'o journals on: November 21, 2008 09:12:25 PM
I'd love to see the tutorial yo used if you don't mind sharing it.
These are beautiful, I love the coptic stitch detailing and the covers are beautiful.
I want to make a couple of these as gifts, if they aren't too hard.
Euqinom. =]
