1  Link (heart) Zelda in Needlework: Completed Projects by Giggles on: May 04, 2012 09:04:22 PM
A friend of mine let me know in November that he had recently found out he was expecting.
He's a youngin' like me, but he's gonna make a grand poppa.

I'm incredibly ecstatic for him, so for Christmas I made his child-to-be a little something.
I think it's adorable. My first free-hand attempt at cross-stitching as well.
My fingers hated me throughout the creation of it, but I believe they have forgiven me due to the loveliness that resulted from their hard work.

In Progress:

Because I found the underside to be so intriguing:

And here it is hidden away inside the book I gutted.
Along with a mini owl, mini stocking, and a letter for the almost poppa.

Oh! And it's been ages since I've posted on craftster, so I'm glad to be back!

2  It's been a long while. [floral overalls] in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Giggles on: March 18, 2009 08:57:49 PM
First off, it feels extremely good to be posting again.
Second, I apologize for the strange photos, but they are currently all I have.

Drafted the pattern on my own.
Beige fabric with red and green floral detail.
Pockets are a contrast red.
Fully functioning overall snaps.
Back straps criss cross.

It's for my collection in the school fashion show in May, yesss I wore it early.
BTW: Collection inspiration is EGL.

3  Eeek! A couple of cheesy teens, one year! Something super bomb in 2 weeks?!? in Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage by Giggles on: October 21, 2008 09:08:06 PM
Update: =] I am so excited for this and it's coming up so fast.
The boy and I will have our one year on the fourth.
Yes, we are young [16], but this is a big deal.
We take our relationship seriously, and are hoping to stay together for a lot longer.
I love him very much, and I get to be as cheesy as I want.

I got my mom in on this now, so she's going to talk to his mom to see if we can skip school for the day.

My original idea, which was nice but not quite what i wanted, has been upgraded.
My mom is more than willing to take us to this park up in PV called Rocketship Park. Neither of us have been there and it looks so bomb. =]

     Picnic @ Rocketship Park
            -Lunch/Brunch, ideas?
            -Snacks, [grapes, bread, etc.]
            -Dessert, chocolate fruit filled cups
       Picture Puzzle;
Put in balloons and scattered around park
We already have several sets of matching shirts, why not another one for our one year?
        Mini Photo + Lyric Book
Photos of us, and lyrics from various songs we enjoy.
Of me, in various memorable places, holding signs maybe?
Also photos of the both of us.
          Mirror Box
Idea contributed by michiii. It's super cheesy and totally goes with us.

He had this bomb surprise i ended up finding out about. =/ It dealt with a bunch of different people, people i know, people i don't, teachers, even our parents. He put a lot of time into planning it and I feel like I ruined it, because of that I so want to top his plan and whip out something he'd never expect.

Thank you so much crafters. I totally appreciate it. =]

4  5...4...3...2...1 [a t-shirt and some ribbon] in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Giggles on: August 29, 2008 05:57:15 PM
You can't go wrong with a white t-shirt.
Super quick 5 minute reconstruction.

I saved it from my mother's give away bag.
I like it, I am just not sure how much.

I bring to you, Missy the Rockstar!

It took about an hour and a half in all, and I am super happy with the results.

6  The Apron Without a Cause in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Giggles on: July 30, 2008 11:44:46 PM

The OG:

Pretty much, the only difference is mine is more full.
Is that appropriate for an apron?
Also I kind of-sort of want to go ahead and make it into a skirt.
Whaddya think?
=] momo.

7  Oh Sheet! It's a Barbie Dress! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Giggles on: June 24, 2008 12:50:43 PM
Woahh, could I have been cheesier?
The pictures are minimal, but you get the idea.
It was the first piece of clothing I have drafted on a dressform, which proved to be fairly interesting.
In the end it fits me better than it does her, which I am happy for.

This one shows the bodice a bit closer.

Details: Front consists of three pieces, all lined.
Back is two, and it has a zipper. =] I have gotten so much better at zippers.
Skirt was meant to be lined but I got lazy, so shorts are a must.
It fits really well, I could make a few adjustments if I wanted to be picky, but I dont.

Constructive Criticism is definitely welcome.

8  Re: Wanna help? in Halloween Costumes by Giggles on: June 17, 2008 06:28:21 PM
I did end up making my costume,
I wanted to make a dress to wear with it as well, but ran out of time.

The wings and tutu were made by me.
using this tutu tutorial
and this wing tutorial.

The wings were so much fun to make. =] I hand dyed them with Rit's dye to get the color.

I feel so fortunate to have someone who inspires me to do such things =]
A simple gift for the boyfriend.

The Back; what made me want to keep it for myself.

Cover of the booklet;

Inside Booklet; the last page of it I believe

Mixed CD; music is just way too wonderful.

10  "The Sun in my Sky" in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Giggles on: January 06, 2008 01:16:43 AM

Not Drawn By Me.
I have absolutely no drawing skills.
I love this though, i think its like completely bomb.
It was done by this girl named Christina Caybon, Sophmore at my high school.
I guess my lovely boyfriend had her do it. I have yet to ask what sort of bargain they made.
I love it and cant wait to get a frame to fit it cause right now its in this lame tube.
