Oh, that's gorgeous! I love that pattern and yarn.
I'm using some of my autumn leaf fabric to make a scarf, I'm about a quarter done. It's funny, when I flipped the fabric over to measure and cut, I had my first good look at the reverse. And I like the paler reverse design as much or better! I'll post a pic when I finish.
I love seeing the "paler reverse designs" on fabrics! Half the time they are way cooler!

Jolyon - those letters look awesome! All the work paid off, i think.

My friends are having a baby, so i've decided to have a go at a baby blanket and taken up crocheting granny squares.

Made a couple hats. I seem to be obsessed with k1p2 ribbing...
Pay no attention to my hair poking out the top... i didn't get a photo of the finished hat.
Loops & Threads Charisma is my favorite yarn. Such soft hats...

212  Re: ACTIVE: GRANNY-A-DAY APRIL *A YEAR OF GRANNIES* Start: 4/1/2011 in Crochetalongs by bananaleg on: April 14, 2011 10:40:24 AM
I just started making granny squares a couple days ago. My friends announced they are pregnant, so i tried to decide what i would make them. I've been wanting to make a blanket for a long time now, and i thought a granny square baby blanket would be fun. (I think crocheting squares would be much more fun for me than crocheting a blanket as one piece.)
I only know one type so far, but i see there are tons of them out there...
Also, the only hook i have so far is an F.

Anyway, this is my first square ever:
A group shot:
I made one more after i took that picture.
I can't decide on colors for the blanket yet. I'd like to use stash for it, so i'll probably just pick the most baby-ish colors i have and switch them all around for each square.

That light switch cover is brilliant.

I adore the trinket box.

Wow, Luna's suitcase is awesome!

I finally received all of my package from mgailp.
He tried to escape once, but we finally convinced him i'm in the Order and not an enemy...
He doesn't seem to like his picture being taken, so here's the best i could do:
Not the best quality, but you can see him. I present Padfoot:

He is soooo soft!

And i turned it black and white because it made me think of Sirius in the paper:

Thank you so much, Gail! I love him.

You're so welcome, barbolot! I had tons of fun making them for you! (Plus, it gave me a chance to destash some flannel!)

I received today!
First of all, i saw the laundry/utility bags. Awesome! And the expandable grocery bag stuffed into a little strawberry. Adorable!
Then... the reusable snack bags! Yay!! I've been wanting some for a long time!

The prints are so fun! I love them!
I think this one might be my favorite. Purple swirlies!

The little design on the wrapping:

Thank you so much for being an awesome partner, Connie! I can't wait to put these bags to use!

I love poppets! And yours is no exception, meleriffic.

My friend invited me to the Mariners' game this Friday (opening night), so i decided to make myself a hat.
The Mariners' colors are navy blue, northwest green (which is basically dark teal), and metallic silver.
I found it very difficult to capture the colors, and i don't really know why...

The same friend texted me yesterday with a request: shark coffee cozy. (Same girl i made that shark bag for a while back, actually.) Her favorite is the great white, so i tried my best. He looks like he's smiling, but he's supposed to look menacing. Heh.

My partner received for OTHPT, so i can post pictures now!
Group shot:

Okay, first, i'll go with March's theme (that is when i made all this, after all), house pride.
I knitted this little Ravenclaw, drawstring pouch:
I'd had another idea, but it didn't work out. I like this much better. Besides, it was a one tiny thing swap, and it all fit in there, so it worked out perfectly.

Next, a coupe of pins/brooches:
mgailp had several things on her wists with the deathly hallows on it. She also listed Mad Eye as one of her favorite characters, hence his eye.

And finally, my favorite:
Gail's other favorite character is Hermione, and she has Hermione's enchanted handbag on her wist. I knew i wouldn't be able to make a tiny version of it and be proud of it, so while i was thinking of how i could do it... it just came to me: coffee cozy! (I'm obsessed with making them.)
On a cup:
At first, i thought i would leave it without beading it because i loved the way it looked and didn't want to ruin it. But i picked up the beads, anyway, and got to it. Turns out it was a good choice. Totally changed it for the better.
I plan to make another one for myself.

Yay for yellow! I actually made a baby hat last night (started after midnight, though)... and it's yellow!

It was supposed to be for a newborn, but i think it's too big for her.

My partner received for the one tiny stuffie swap, so i can post pictures now. I used felt from stash. Smiley
First a TARDIS (i'm using her photo because i didn't get a good one):
And a yeti:

bananaleg: the way they were put in the box makes me laugh too.

I giggled when I packed it as well. lol!

so glad we're all so mature and ladylike.  Grin
Haha! I'm not often described as mature or ladylike. Grin

I went to Bigfoot Java today, and i had to do this:

susanab - Thank your sister for me. I've been wanting a cool rat pattern (my best friend's nickname is Rat), and i think that is just the one! Looks awesome!

The yeti squirrel is cracking me up!!

I received from amydice today! Perfect, let me tell you what.
First of all, the way they were put in the box made me laugh because i'm a child:

Then we've got THE DOCTOR!

I freaking love his hair! And the jacket. Nice and soft for when i cuddle him to my face. Haha.

And then the thing i was really crossing my fingers for: BIGFOOT!

(I thought it was fitting to use the blurry photo.)
Less blurry, if you're into that:

And the BFFs together:

Seriously, so perfect. We both love that we chose to craft the same themes. Cheesy
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect partner.

Thank you, Amy!!

aprettymess - All of your skirts are so pretty. And the headband is super cute!

I made this a while ago, and never took pictures...
I usually put two straps on my bags, but this one was made from a child's t-shirt, so it's pretty small... and one strap just seemed a better fit. The shirt is 100% organic cotton, and it says, "I'VE GONE ENVIRONMENTAL"
