1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Delilah Grape Twinkletoes...(a stuffie) on: July 13, 2007 09:35:31 AM
Here is a stuffie that my daughter drew and I turned into a pattern and sewed.   We named her Delilah Grape Twinkletoes.

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Nifty Martini glass charms with shrinky-dinks on: February 28, 2005 01:20:53 PM
Made a set of twelve, because you can never find a set of twelve!!  The charms are made out of shrinky-dink plastic that I wrote twelve words on.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My take on the men's shirt and tie purse...VERY PREPPY on: February 28, 2005 10:32:03 AM
I used two men's shirts and two ties from goodwill to make this purse.
Front of purse was front of one shirt with pocket and button placket.
Back of purse was back of shirt.
Lining of purse was the other shirt.  The closure part was made of two cuffs.  I cut the bottom of the bag from the part that had the little horse emblem for a cute detail.
Handles, one side is tie fabric and one side is shirt fabric.  I topstiched on the handles.
Another shot of the handles.
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Grooooovy Barbie house with rooftop TIKI bar and furniture on: February 28, 2005 10:03:58 AM
I hope the photos show up, I made this Barbie doll house and furniture for my four year old daughter after finding the really cute Tiki bar set.  I looked for cool Barbie doll houses, but didn't like them, or the one I really liked was over $100!  So, this is a really cheap way to make one.  Just make sure the shelf is tall enough for barbie to stand up in.  You could make it as tall as you wanted, just stack on more shelves!

House is made from a plastic shelf, the back is foam core board with scrap book paper glued on.  I added Tiki themed stickers for top floor.

Close up of second story, I hot glued fleece to the shelf to make the carpet.

Set 'em up Ken!

Shot of Tiki Bar.

Bedroom furniture.  Bed is a cereal box with a cardboard headboard, padded and covered with fabric, hot-glued on. NO SEWING!
Chaise lounge in bedroom.  Another box, cardboard back, covered in fabric and hot glued.  Pillow is a toilet paper roll cut down and stuffed, feet of chaise lounge are beads hot-glued on.

Living room furniture made from Mac n cheese boxes, covered in fabric and hot glued.  Coffee table is jar lid covered in daisy fabric, hot glued onto a shampoo bottle lid.

Super easy to make bathtub for Barbie!  Just cut the top off of the plastic Kitty litter container.

Hope you enjoyed the tour!!
