1  Nyan Cat Costume in Halloween Costumes by Muno on: October 28, 2011 06:26:31 PM
Hey Craftster! I finished the nyan cat costume I was working on! I painted a foam board with acrylic paint and then taped streamers onto the back. Smiley

2  Planning a Nyan Cat Costume in Halloween Costumes by Muno on: October 08, 2011 03:24:30 PM
Hey Crafster!
I'm thinking about going as nyan cat for Halloween! In fact, I just bought the acrylic paint for the pop tart portion of the costume!

I was wondering if any of you would be able to offer advice, though. I'm set on the body (pop tart) of the costume being foam board and painted with acrylic paint, but I haven't completely decided up what the rainbow portion should be. I was thinking that it could either be more foam board/acrylic paint, or it could be streamers that I'd either staple, hot glue, tape, etc. to the foam board pop-tart. The rainbow portion could also be more foam board, but I am hesitant on making the body of the costume longer.

I attached my rough drawing of what I'm thinking of doing to this post. Smiley Thanks for any advice. (Also, does anyone know where I can get the cheapest foam boards?)
