Well, I really liked this, but since the pattern is no longer available I guess I can't make them. Sad Great looking slipper shoes though!

WOW, those are beautiful! Almost identical to some my mom made for my daughter when she was born. She based hers off a pair of booties that belonged to my great grandmother. I don't think she use a pattern either. It is all gorgeous!! Great job!!

Sally1019, I did serge it. You could use a zigzag stitch with a walking foot and it would work as well. I used as many if the existing seams as possible to minimize the work I had to do and the chance of it unraveling. To prevent unraveling you could use fray-check or something similar, though I just tried not to handle to fabric much after it was cut. Good luck and if you try this just don't stress over it too much. go with the flow. Cheesy Mistakes can be covered up by POCKETS!! Wink

Thanks to everyone for your positive and kind responses! Smiley Feedback just makes my day!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, and special thanks to RhymeswOrange for getting me started on my latest hobby! I am enjoying this so much I am giving some thought to making a spinning wheel, though admittedly there is something nice about using a drop spindle too.... Well, back to my spinning, I'll post more soon! Cheesy

Oh I LOVE this skirt!! Purple is my favorite color and skirts are just too much fun. This looks really well made, great job! *scampers off to see if I have any purple fabric half as awesome* Did you use a pattern? or did you do this freehand? draft your own pattern?
