11  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Woe Maiden from the Devil's Carnival on: May 15, 2012 12:39:31 PM
Hi everyone! I'm sure a lot of you know about Repo! The genetic opera. If not look it up on Netflix! It is such an awesome rock opera! Anywho the creator and directer of that movie have come out with a new movie called The Devil's Carnival! Exactly how it sounds, devil runs a carnival... They were going around to 33 citys across the country for a one night showing of the show and to celebrate this performance I dressed up as one of the characters, one of the three Woe Maidens Smiley Im very proud of this dress because I had no pattern and it was my official first time putting in a zipper Smiley

I cant wait for the second Devils CArnival to come out! Maybe I will dress up like Wick Next Time!
12  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / We're at the DEVIL'S CARNIVAL!! on: May 15, 2012 09:08:16 AM
Recently Terrance Zduinch and Darren Lynn Bousman came out with an experimental movie/TV series called The Devil's Carnival, exactly what it sounds like, Devil runs a carnival. He has a whole bunch of his minions in his carnival as well as three sinners Smiley I plan on making all the carnies in the carnival but for now I made Wick, The Painted Doll, Woe Maiden, and the Twin. Unfortunately I didnt get a picture of the Twin before he found his new home with Mr. Bousman.....but their was a pic taken with it so when they get posted I will post them here Smiley

First up the Woe Maiden! She was my favorite and I had planned on keeping her but I forgot one Twin in my car so I hope she is living comfy with Terrance now Smiley

Secondly is Wick! I loved making her hoop skirt and her hair, I think she came out really cute too! Alex Vega who plays Wick loved it too! She said it was her first doll ever! She grew up with GI Joes

And Thirdly! This is the Painted Doll, played by the talented Emilie Autumn Who absolutely loved the doll when I gave it to her Smiley

It was a fantastic show and I hope you enjoy the dolls! C&C always appreciated Smiley

14  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair! on: May 04, 2012 10:56:57 AM
My Nieces Birthday is tomorrow and I went with a Disney theme for all her presents, Her favorite princess being Rapunzel I just had to make a dress for her inspired by the one Rapunzel wears in Tangled!

The straps were the hardest to do, I had to sew ribbon down them and my sewing machine didnt want to!

Let me know what you think! C&C always appreciated!

I hope this is the right board to post in....A couple days ago I was at a thrift shop and spotted this bright colored striped hoodie that just screamed to me that it needed a mickey mouse head on it... this is the result.

Hope you like it!
16  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Bethany! Thrill seeker and Circus Extraordinaire! on: March 23, 2012 09:30:02 AM
This is Bethany, my first OFFICIAL poppet. I made her for my partner in the Creep Cute swap. She was a tight rope walker at the circus and had many adventures there but tired of the life and wanted to try something new. I persuaded her to go with my swap partner Monique, promising her new grand adventures.

as you can see she hasn't quiet given up the circus life style, she still loves the striped stockings and ribbon-ed hair

she also cant fathom giving up her spider accessories

please let me know what you think! C&C always welcome Smiley

This is a bit late seeing as I made her in October but I still wanted to share her! (I hope this is the right board!)
