1  Red Riding Hood and the wolf! in Halloween Costumes by Anubisheart on: November 04, 2015 04:01:46 PM
I had a friend of a friend approach me about making her Halloween Costume this year. She wanted to go as Red Riding Hood but also as the Wolf counter part. My lovely friend Amanda made her a very feminine looking wolf mask while I worked on the hood/bodice/ tails combo and dress. I think they came out amazing considering we were only able to meet twice to get everything to fit right. She is a blogger so she took some pretty awesome photos of her in this outfit!

Some wicked witch fabric and yummy peeps!

LOVE this monster bow, I already wore it to work and to the haunted mazes I went to last night!

AMAZING painting!! I love this tentacle lady!

THIS THING IS SOOO SPECTACULAR!!! An altered altoid tin crafted after the Necronomicon from one of my favorite horror movies, Army of Darkness and it gets even better then I opened it up (I may have squealed with joy) and BOOM! Ash in all his glory with his boom stick!!!

Thank you sooo much I LOVE everything that you made me!!

3  Re: Geek Easter Basket Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Anubisheart on: April 27, 2014 09:14:25 AM
JulieminustheE received her package last week but has had some family issues so I am going to post the pictures of what i sent her Smiley

So here is the full package Smiley I needed to get creative with the "basket" so I made her a Finn hat from Adventure time and used that Smiley

and of course I couldnt make the hat without making a Jake and finn plushes to go with them :p

I decided that was enough Adventure time stuff so I branched out the The Hobbit and made a Lonely Mountain and Smaug shirt for her

and last but certainly not least! I try to make at least one thing that my partner really wants. This time it was a Doctor Who item. I decided to go with a home made bow tie... oh and since Karen Gillian was in town before I sent....I got her to sign it Tongue

5  Re: Tim Burton Swap! Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by Anubisheart on: July 10, 2013 10:25:17 PM
Anubisheart got my package last week so I thought I would go ahead and post up what I sent her.
I made her this purse of Lock, Shock, and Barrel.

I hand drew & painted the front panel.

A Lock, Shock, and Barrel vase and a Oogie boogie cat toy. the side opens so you can put cat nip in it (which I included)

and I also added some glow in the dark Nightmare Before Christmas stickers and a deck of Tim Burton cards.

Thank you so much for posting the pics Gozer!!! I feel so terrible! My camera is MIA, ugh the issues of having people moving in and out of your house. Let me just say that I absolutely LOVE Everything!! The cat toy is now a dog toy Tongue ( my kitty doesnt know how to deal with it so I just let him sniff the catnip in the vial Tongue) The purse is the embodiment of awesomeness!! I am already using it, did you hand paint lock shock and barrel? or draw it on? Its just incredible!! The etched bottle has been put on my shelf with all the rest of my halloween goodies! THANK YOU SO MUCH GOZER YOU WERE INCREDIBLE TO SWAP WITH AND I  HOPE OUR PATHS CROSS AGAIN!!!!

8  Renaissance Dress for 6 bucks, Say What!? in Costumes: Completed Projects by Anubisheart on: June 01, 2013 08:21:48 PM
About a month ago I found out that my local Renaissance Fair would be coming in May (yup a little late in posting this!) and of course you cant go to a Ren fair in every day clothes of this era, it would take away from all the fun that is a Ren fest, plus this WAS my first time ever going to one and I wanted it to be special but seeing as how I was broke I needed to make a dress that was fairly inexpensive. Low and behold my prays were answered when I found 1 dollar fabric! And on top of that my boyfriends costume I had the material for the pants already, his tunic I made out of an old curtain and his vest the material was only a buck as well!!

here I am with the home made root beer that I dream about every year! This was towards the end of the festival (which had gotten rained out the day before we came so it was mud everywhere!) I have acquired a few skins and a mug that has the Ren fair seal on it! You cant see it but I also have an under skirt that I made on as well and the dress is historically made, thats right I had to get sinched into it and needed help getting out of it as well!

Here is my handsome boyfriend who is awesome enough to allow me to dress him up (I am so lucky!) He kinda looks like a tailor apprentice or a toy maker to me Tongue
Like I said with my dress, everything is historically accurate. I hand sewed all the button holes (NEVER AGAIN!) his tunic has a tie and his breeches lace up in the back with buttons in the front. All in all I am really proud of my work since I didnt really have much time to make these and no money at that!

I cant wait for the next Ren fair to come to town! I think our outfits will get better and better the more time (and money) I have!!
