1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Backyard Critters - Looking for more critters on: January 17, 2007 07:02:35 PM
We live on about 120 acres and we have wild hogs, bobcats, roadrunners, rabbits, raccoons, coyotes, opposum, armadillo, cows, field mice, bats, squirrels, and a hawk. We don't have them but you might find porcupines or hedgehogs. (Just think of the animals in Over the Hedge Wink )

Under other categories we have newts and lizards, rattle snakes, bull snakes, spiders, moths, ants, praying mantis and walking sticks and various other bugs.

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fess up, who's got a knitting blog? on: January 17, 2007 07:08:23 AM
I need to add more knitting stuff to mine. And more pictures. I have so many FO's and WIP's that I could snap pics of. Guess I'm just lazy.

Ok. Since everyone else it admitting it...here goes..."I'm a knitter, and I have a blog." There I said it! Go me! Well, I'm trying to post more frequently and trying to knit more projects (and complete more projects). Stop by if you want.

I read on your blog that you made the 40" chest. Do you mind me asking your bust size? I'd like to try making one for my sister, but I'm not sure what size to use.

Thanks,

Here's one with the pleats a little lower.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Any way to resize? on: November 05, 2005 05:19:52 PM
I think this is soooooo cute, but it doesn't go up to my size  Cry Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resize it or know of anything similar?

You simply have to post the pattern or the rest of us will go insane. I've had to make these for my sister and sister-in-law because I'm a bit busty and I don't think they look the best on me.

Adriafil just posted a pattern like this on their site.

It's actually under the Mississippi Waistcoat pattern. It has sleeves.

For the sweater with the smell. If it's washable, put it in the wash with a little distilled white vinegar. It will smell at first, but once it dries, it shouldn't smell anymore. If that doesn't work, try Odoban (I think that's how it's spelled). I had some yarn that smelled like my great aunt's house (kind of like a nursing home, only stronger) and just a little spray of diluted Odoban and let it dry and no more smell.
