1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Fun Wire Wrapped Bangles on: February 14, 2014 01:58:59 PM

I just tried making these yesterday for something to do and now I'm hooked. I think they look so cool and they're super simple to make.  Grin

This one is crystal and ceramic beads.

This came from a lot of beads I bought off someone but I'm pretty sure they're some kind of stone dyed to be like imitation turquoise.

Glass and acrylic beads! (It's a skull in the middle, idk if you can tell in the pics..)

The trio! I hope you guys like them. Smiley

I made a tutorial here: http://thesillybaboon.blogspot.com/2014/02/wire-wrapped-bangles.html
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Super simple earrings! on: February 08, 2014 08:39:10 AM
Just whipped these up this morning. They were super simple to make and I already had all the supplies in my stash. Smiley

I used beading wire, two different sizes of silver beads and freshwater pearls.

Tutorial here: http://thesillybaboon.blogspot.com/

Hope you guys like!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / A few new sets.. on: January 02, 2014 08:25:23 AM
Here are a few of the things I have made recently. Smiley
I'm sorry for the sort of crappy pics, I'm hoping to try to make a lightbox this weekend with my dad so that I can take some better images!

Some stackable bracelets. Jasper, agate, peridot, coral and aventurine.

A bracelet/earring set made of green opal and tigerseye.

A magnesite wrap bracelet or necklace with matching earrings.

Martha Steward Czech bead ombre bracelet and earrings.

I'm really not sure what these are! I bought them at a little bead store near me before they went out of business.
They definitely feel like some kind of stone, not plastic or glass.

Please let me know what you think!
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Forrest Creatures... on: April 28, 2013 06:27:30 AM
I've had these two charm pieces laying around FOREVER and I finally decided to make something out of them.

I kept them simple. They're designed to be long. The owl only has a simple flower-print bead on it, and the deer has a cluster of pink glass pearl beads in different shades and sizes. Smiley

Thanks for looking!
5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Item prices and shipping question. on: April 14, 2013 07:09:18 AM
Hey guys!

My goal is to open up an Etsy shop to list my jewelry on.. but I'm not really sure how to price it. I want to keep things affordable because I realize that most of my stuff may appeal to a younger audience. I also don't use sterling silver or genuine gold materials. I don't really have a price at which these things cost me to make because honestly, most of the materials were found in my jewelry stash that I started building years ago just to make trinkets for myself, or were recycled from other items. I'm hoping that I can clear out some of this stuff and make a little pocket change to get more/better materials. Here's some samples of the type of things I make:

Any suggestions?

Also, does anyone have any tips on calculating shipping? I plan on using a simple padded brown envelope..

Thanks so much!!
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Necklaces galore! on: April 11, 2013 07:25:46 AM
Hi guys, just wanted to share some of my new necklaces with you. Smiley

The pink set is a request from my mom, and the blue set is for the sister of the person I made my original purple set for in this post

Also, the first picture is supposed to be the Autism awareness colors for April, but I'm not advanced enough to make puzzle pieces..

Thanks for looking!
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Odds n Ends (somewhat pic fluffy) on: April 01, 2013 11:29:19 AM
Hi guys Smiley

Well I'm relatively new to the forums, I've never posted very much but I wanted to share some of my work. It's not really anything intense, especially compared to you talented lot, but I like it. Sorry for the format of some of the pictures, I post things I make on instagram.

Anyway, on to the pics!

These first two groups of earrings are ones I've made for myself personally, so some of them might be considered a little funky.. particularly my "junk" earrings. :p

The last image is a set I made for a good Friend who is going to her niece's semi-formal sweet 16 and needed some jewels to wear with her spork. Her favorite color is purple. Smiley

Thanks for looking!
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Some of my pieces.. :D (Image fluffy!) on: December 20, 2010 10:27:24 AM
Hi! This is my first post on here, so go easy on me.  Cheesy

I haven't been making jewelry for that long, and I usually have to work off a cheap budget since I'm a poor ol' college student, but I still enjoy doing what I can. I especially enjoy making chainmaille things, but I never seem to have enough rings, or wire to make my own. :p I'm thinking about getting more serious and trying to produce some nicer quality things and take a chance at selling. What do you think?

Also, sorry for the not-so-good photos, I had to use my phone.

Thanks! Cheesy
