1  So many milk cartons, so little time... in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Teaspoons and Tiaras on: December 16, 2011 02:45:02 PM
Hello lovelies! I have been making these hair clips for a while now, they are butterflies made from plastic milk cartons, which are then attached to hair slides.

I cut the butterfly shapes out of the milk carton, which has a lovely soft edge, so no danger of cutting yourself! And then coloured them in with sharpies. I folded them in half to make them look more alive and then varnished them. When I do craft fairs they are the thing that sells most... if only they knew how easy they are to make!

2  Re: Snack Swap Four! CLOSED Send Outs 13th July in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Teaspoons and Tiaras on: July 31, 2011 09:08:10 AM

Smarrt really spoiled me, she included SO MANY different snacks, including m&m pretzels which my boyfriend and I may have scoffed before I took the pictures! There is everything from popping candy to bacon flavoured mints... which are very strange indeed! We had a party the other night and they were sampled by a good many of our inebrieted friends. They went down better with some people than others!

She also made me two amazing hedgehogs, the brown one is Hildegard and the blue one is Arthur. They have already been getting up to various shenanagins, which may be documented somewhere on the website soon! I love everything, especially the 'espresso pillows' and the coffee chocolate.

Thank you so much Smarrt, I really hope you liked your parcel, and I am sorry that it was so much smaller than what you sent me!!!

Wait for me!!!

Here are the lovely things that Jennilocker sent me, sorry I didn't upload them earlier!

Gorgeous earrings!

Awesome necklace number one...

Awesome necklace number two!

Aaaaaaaaaand, a really lovely headband (which I am wearing right now...), some really unusual button badges which I can't wait to add to bags and things, and a really cute mini yoga book.

She also included loads of chocolate, which may or may not have been eaten by the end of the evening....

I cannot believe that she sent me so much, thank you so much Jennilocker!!!!!!!!!!

4  "You sp.. sp.. sp" Broken Record Bag! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Teaspoons and Tiaras on: February 15, 2011 11:19:26 AM
I was asked to make a birthday present for someone who goes to a lot of gigs and owns A LOT of music, so I thought "hmm, 7 inch singles getting dusty in the charity shop? MINE!"

And this is what I made from the sleeve and the vinyl itself. What do you think?

5  "Dressed in my finest polyester..." in CHALLENGE 59 ENTRIES by Teaspoons and Tiaras on: February 08, 2011 02:34:16 PM
This is my first proper post, eeep!!! Please forgive me if the links don't work, I am happier with a needle and thread, not copy and paste!!

I found these UNFORGIVABLE polyester trousers for a tenner, and knew that God had not intended them for this world. I didn't model them like this for fear that I would somehow become infected with their hideousness.

A close up of that yummy pattern:

A pair of scissors, a sewing machine and LOTS of tegan and sara later, my swingin' sixties dress was born!

I used some scraps from my stash, and a handy zip from an old skirt. Please excuse my knobbly knees and frighteningly pale skin, we don't get any sun in Ireland!
