8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sunburn remedy? on: May 16, 2011 06:29:32 PM
here is one i found a while back and use alot for sunburn and exzema
Try this recipe for a soothing aloe-green-tea-lavender mist.

1/4 cup brewed green tea
1/4 cup aloe vera juice
1/4 teaspoon lavender essential oil

6-1-2009-31. Mix together cool green tea, aloe and lavender essential oil in a spray bottle. Shake well. Spray liberally onto skin as often as desired.

2. Refrigerate, and use within two weeks.

and here is a paste i made up on my own

1 cup witchhazel
2 cups of fresh aloe vera(100% gel works just fine)
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 pkg aveeno colloidal oatmeal

mix well and paint on burn
the cornstarch stays real cool the colloidal oatmeal help prevent chap and soothes the heat the witch hazel cools and calms and the aloe vera takes the burn out and helps prevent blistering and peeling this one is safe for burns that have alreay blistered too, hope this helps:)
