24  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / best paint on: September 22, 2011 07:18:11 AM
I'm a clay girl. I've never spent a lot of time redo-ing anything in my house. But holy hell you guys have inspired me! Just a quick question. What is the best paint to use for painting say, garden gnomes, dolls, weird ceramic type things? Anything really. i want to paint everythign in my house LOL.
Also is there a sealant I should use?

27  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / more masks on: September 12, 2011 07:17:29 AM
These ones were made with specific friends in mind. the skull isn't finished as she hasn't had her depth defying paint job but i still love her.

This guy actually broke after a sloppy removal from the oven caught his nose and ripped the rest. I glued, strategically painted and then gorilla glued leather to the back. He has a small scar but it makes him look macho.

YAY! thanks! I hope she loves them!
29  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / I am in desperate need of a craft room!!!! on: August 25, 2011 07:51:06 AM
I live in a house with a work at home husband, a 3 year old and a part time teenager...I HAVE NO FRICKIN' ROOM!!!!! My craft stuff has taken over the dining room. Which normally is no big deal except, since having my child I've somehow been possessed by martha Stewart and I want to eat in there sometimes...but we can't because I can't find the table.

So, I NEED your crafty advice. How do I make my craft area more compact and functional? where is yours? Do you have a functional duel use room and how did you make it work???

I would love to have a place to wear these, (and all the other ones in my head) but I feel a little "all dressed up and no where to go" LOL
