4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Delicious Plushies I made the boyfriend for Christmas ^.^ on: December 30, 2012 04:10:05 PM
Me and 'the boy' first got together just before Christmas 2011, so last time the festive season rolled around I was still very much trying to play it cool. Here we are a year later and this time round I felt like I was in a position to embrace my inner crafty nerd and make him something revoltingly lovey dovey to go with his Christmas present (which was actually tickets to go see the Book of Mormon - I am so freaking excited ^.^).

Anyway - slightly vom inducing back story: Its a bit of a running joke that I tell him that he is ginger (hes really got kind of sandy blonde coloured hair, but its far more fun to wind him up and pretend its orange) and he only ever calls me some kind of variation of 'shorty' (read: short-stuff, tiny-short, shortybum ..you get the idea)

So I present to you - Ginger cake, and Short bread
(its not lame, its like totally adorable - trust me Wink )

Thanks for looking and Happy New Year Smiley
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / First EVER quilt finally finished - old t shirts into cuddly warm blanket :D on: April 03, 2011 04:00:19 PM

So I FINALLY finished my first ever quilt - it was almost a year in the making but now its done and i just love it!

I was clearing out my clothes to make some more storage space and i came across a load of t shirts I knew I would never wear again, but that I also didnt want throw away since many of them were gifts from my parents trips etc.....so they became a cosy awesome blanket instead Cheesy

Any feedback would be great, thanks xx
