441  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Einstein Feltie! on: May 28, 2011 08:26:11 AM
He is really funny and cute! Cheesy The picture made me already wonder if I could do something similar by crocheting... I'm sure your friend will like him a lot. Smiley

I totally want to adopt him! Cheesy And I would definitely need those kind of pills also - soon it's summer and I am far away from having bikini body... Oh well, if fat is that cute he can move to my house anytime. Smiley Good job!

They are both really cute! Smiley
The girl's hair is very nice and I think it goes well with the dress. She reminds me of some character but I just can't put my finger on who...
And I just had to check from your blog how you made the boy's hair because I once tried to make a doll with similar hair but because it didn't turn out to be good I gave up and made something else. Tongue

Wow, they are really nice! Smiley Are you thinking of making Mulan and Ariel? I have thought about making Mulan (not necessary using a pattern, though) because I am a little crazy for Chinese and Japanese things.  Tongue
445  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Crochet Blogs - Add yours here! on: May 20, 2011 02:33:49 AM
It seems I haven't posted my blog here yet so here goes...

Toisen kerroksen tytt

At the moment I write mainly in Finnish but there are few free patterns patterns that I have written also in English. I also have a link list for some patterns that are written in English. Mainly I write about crocheting and amigurumis but sometimes I also post other kind of articles.

So... Welcome! Smiley
446  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: "The Pandorica Opens" - Doctor Who Embroidery on: May 19, 2011 10:49:02 PM
I have no embroidery skills whatsoever but this one really makes me want to start practising! You have done great job, I am sure the person getting it will be really happy (I know I would be!).
447  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Fierce Little dragon - free pattern link! (Ravelry) on: May 19, 2011 09:32:36 PM
Your dragon looks great! I love the colors that you have used. They are just perfect for him!
I have also thought about making yet another dragon. Before I have just used the same pattern every time so a little change would do good for me. I was thinking of buying a pattern but the one that you posted is also a good option. Smiley

(Edit: I noticed that I had posted a link to a pattern on etsy and since I am not sure if it's allowed I decided to take it away, just in case.)
448  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Re: Question: is anybody here having trouble giving away amigurumi? on: May 19, 2011 03:34:01 AM
I have exactly the same problem! I get attached to those cute little things. They are so cuddly and nice and all of them have a personality of their own. Every time it's so hard to let them go. But in the end I still notice that I have given away or sold most of the amigurumis that I have made. I have only few of them on my own shelf. That's because I also love to see the reaction of the person to whom I give my amigurumi. They are always so happy that it's worth it.  Smiley

When I noticed that it was really hard to give away the amigurumis I decided that at least I will take a picture of each one of them. That way I will always have some memory of them and it also makes it a bit easier to give them away. And then I have posted the best ones to my Facebook page for my family and friends so that they can also see them all.

I have been thinking that when I have more time I will make something for myself also. Maybe that day will come soon. Hopefully. Tongue
449  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: A Stitch In Time... Lord *image bigger on the inside* on: April 29, 2011 01:12:19 AM
I have to agree with all the others, this doll is absolutely amazing! I would also pay for the pattern so I hope that you will release it...  Smiley It is one of the best looking crocheted dolls I have ever seen.
