Lovely photos.  I'm a sucker for macro flower shots.

(I'd report that neighbour to the health dept.  I work for our septic dept and that's a health hazard!  We investigate that sort of stuff and make people fix it.)

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: The advent calendar project that grew too big.. on: December 04, 2007 08:52:13 PM
How did you do the numbers on Maia's?

I used one of my scrapbooking tools, my Quickutz squeeze, to die cut them out of felt.

Craftster inspired me to do away with the annual waxy chocolate calendars for my 4 kids and do something more special for them.  The reason they got too big was because I decided the pockets needed to be big enough to hold small toys/candies.  Because of their size I needed to hang them on 3 different walls.

They're all essentially the same, so I'll just post one picture.  I reversed the red and green felt for the boys and girls.  I ran out of time and energy with the last 3 calendars so I fabric painted the numbers on Clayton's, Wyatt's and Faith's, which, in hindsight, is how I should've done all of them.  Excuse the wrinkled pocket.

The important thing is the kids are very excited about them.

The fabric is gorgeous.  I hate sewing organza too.

I visited KL this past spring and would love to see it again.
