I'm not sure I would have used that color combo either, but it turned out FABULOUSLY! Cheesy

What kind of fabric did you use for the lining?
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: A Bit of Betty, A Bit of Joan Dress on: August 13, 2010 02:23:30 PM
So gorgeous! I'm jealous of how well you can wear dresses like that too. Sigh, I wish I had curves..... The fabric was an excellent choice for the shape.

Very nice design! I like the "shake and listen" method of finding things in my bag, but have lately discovered I like a small pocket for my cell phone and a clip-on key fob.

Look at your local mall for dress forms -- specifically Bath & Body Works and Victoria's Secret. They use a styrofoam bust that they just put a slipcover on depending on season and sale. Since it's styrofoam, you can pretty much shave it to most measurements. If you can catch them when they're putting up new window displays, sometimes they'll have an old one to trash!

As always, beautiful work! I made my own wedding dress; it was actually a great stress-relaxer when the in-laws were getting a little nutty(er)!

Home for a few days for oral surgery. Let's hope I don't stitch my hand to something while I'm working on some of these ideas to alleviate the boredom!
