1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Jewellery from a newbie! (wire and metallic effect beads) on: January 09, 2006 02:11:11 PM
I just started getting into jewellery making... my fiancé's mum got me a bead kit and suddenly i can't stop looking for jewellery supplies! So these are my very first attempts... I'd be extremely grateful for comments/advice (By the way any other UK Craftsters know of good places to get beads, findings etc?)

The jewellery ensemble... Wink

A close-up of the bracelet... although I'm having issues as the jump rings keep coming open and it falls apart! Argh...

Thanks for looking!

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / 2 ridiculously girly photo albums! on: May 23, 2005 12:41:40 PM
Heya peoples!

Well it's the 22nd birthday of a couple of friends - who are twin sisters - coming up (their names are sonia and simona - that's what the writing says if you can't make it out!) - so thought I'd use that as an excuse to do more stencilling... yup I think I'm actually addicted now. It's so satisfying!

And this is what resulted...

Hope that worked! They're photo albums by the way - the covers are made of kind of ridged cardboard stuff although not sure you can tell on the pictures.

Have fun stencilling everyone!

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / freshly stencilled frisbee t-shirt... tri-coloured on: May 10, 2005 02:02:40 PM

I stencilled this t shirt this afternoon (as a birthday present for my frisbee obsessed fiancé!) so thought I'd post to show you how it turned out... I'm pretty happy!

So the big question... should i add writing or not??! Or something else to decorate it? Help!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Slightly odd frisbee-related t shirt question on: May 03, 2005 02:19:39 PM
So... random question!

My fiancé is a frisbee nutcase so I thought I'd decorate a t shirt with a stencil of man-diving-for-frisbee (it'll have 3 colours... could be a tad ambitious for me!!) ... the stencil making's coming along fine and looks like it should turn out alright... I'm just wondering what I should do to add to it a bit, make it a bit more interesting. Maybe put some writing on, but I've no idea what! I'm lacking in side splittingly hilarious/witty/clever/even vaguely amusing quotes etc about frisbee!

Ahh, it's an odd one I know. Not sure if I should've posted it here or in the stencilling technique bit. Well anyway if anyone happens to think of anything (or another way I could embellish it slightly...) then let me know! Cheers me dears  Grin

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Only very-tenuously-crafty plea for ideas! ;D on: April 30, 2005 09:09:57 AM
Hey people!

Well this is a bit cheekily non-crafty really but I think you'll all have good ideas, being creative types...

It's my friend's wedding in a couple of months. For the reception, friends/relative type people are doing bits of music, sketches, that kinda thing for the bride and groom... and I've been asked to come up with ideas for what we can do as a group of her friends from University. Poetry has been suggested...

I really don't know what to do! I think it'd be nice to do something crafty, with photos or make a book or something like that but how we'd 'present' that on the night I don't know! Ideally we'd do something original, intersting and quality... dunno what the chances are!!

So, anyone randomly inspired? (Thank you!!) Rach xx
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / my little creatures! on: February 10, 2005 08:32:07 AM
hey, i'm new! only discovered craftster the other day, went straight to all the little felt monsters, felt inspired and took the opportunity to be overly soppy and make a valentine's present for my fiancé, and these resulted...

i couldn't really decide if they were cute or creepy... but ah well! they're magnetic so i think that makes up for it... Grin so thanks for all the ideas peeps!

also just wanted to say hello... i'm Rach, 21 and from England... though living in Germany for a year. any other brits out there? xx
