14  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Umm...duh? on: May 05, 2005 04:15:11 PM
Ok..this life-line trick that everyone uses to have a place to frog back to....how exactly do you do it?  I've got a few big projects I'm getting ready to start and I want to stay sane-ish while doing them, but I can't seem to comprehend how one gets the life-line into the work.

um, help? Huh
15  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Oh beautiful Malabrigo....what shall I make of you? on: April 19, 2005 09:00:18 PM
So....I bought this beautiful burgundy Malabrigo bulky merino off of e-bay, with the intention of making the Cross Hat-ch and My So Called Scarf.  But the weather is so nice right now, and I'm already working on a merino/alpaca/silk blend Clapotis along with 3 Ripple scarves from Scarf Style, I just can't bring myself to start another scarf.

What to make?  What to make?

18  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What the !#@#@!? is an "edge stitch"? on: March 25, 2005 09:03:02 PM
I'm trying to help a friend of mine read a pattern from the new spring '05 Rebecca and it calls for edge stitch.  From memory of our discussion she says it calls for 22 stitches to be cast on, then edge stitch, k1, p20, k1, edge stitch.  What the eff?

20  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Questions / purse pattern for bamboo rod purse handles on: February 10, 2005 07:55:49 AM
I also  posted this in the purse crafting area...but no one has responded.  I'm  hoping some fellow knitters/crocheters will have some answers.

I just bought some bamboo purse handles.  They are "rod" style, just 2 straight pieces of bamboo.  I'd like to knit or crochet a purse and use them as handles, but I don't have any patterns.  Does anyone out there know where I can find some?
