1  Re: Mad Science Swap 2015 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Blasphemy the Blasphemer on: September 25, 2015 08:01:11 PM
I opened up my package from Ludi today.  I feel so lucky!  I have a weird fascination with dental phantoms and creepy Lovecraftian things, and she made me this fabulous piece from an old dental model.

Unfortunately, his whiskers were damaged in transit, so I will have to fix them.  He is so cute/disgusting, almost like a deranged three-eyed Kermit.  I just love him!  Grin

She also got some candy for me and the hubs, which was much appreciated, and my cat claimed the shipping box for her own.  e.e

Thank you!

I just received from spookygrrrly.

This is about the cutest plague doctor I've ever seen.  He's menacing with just the perfect dash of a gothic look to him.  I'm absolutely in love!

He is made of paper clay, and now he shall forever haunt my shelf alongside my Cthulhus and wet specimens.

Close-up of the face.  I apologize (as always) for potato quality.

Thank you so much!

Here is my awesome package from frankibean.  My favorite character has always been the Cheshire cat, and my favorite theme was utter madness.

She gave me this awesome little wall painting of the Cheshire cat, and a key to Wonderland where I can find more madness.

Also, check out the awesome backing on the painting!

I'm so happy right now.  <3  Sorry for potato quality.  My phone camera is horrible.

So sorry for the potato quality photos.  I am most awful at getting decent shots on my phone.

I got my fabulous gray and black package from manja_is!

Miscellaneous jewelry (picture really doesn't do them justice)

Awesome steampunk kitty necklace and probably the coolest earrings I now own.  I have always been one to ask a lot of questions, so I love these!

Some really snazzy greeting cards, many of them with quotes from Christopher Poindexter, one of my favorite poets.

A gray picture frame with some photos of my one-eyed hunk of kitty love, Odin.

Crafting supplies--fancy paper, patterned ribbon, kitty stickers

Thanks, manja_is!

8  Re: GALLERY: Craft My Pet For Me in The Swap Gallery by Blasphemy the Blasphemer on: July 28, 2014 12:02:40 PM
Okay, first I have to say that I had not intended to resign myself to a crying fit this morning.  Then I opened this wonderful package that I received from I sew cute.  I've been crying ever since.  I am a sentimental fool when it comes to my animals.

First, I got a few pieces of jewelry that depict my first love, Middy.  I had her from the time I was eight until I had to euthanize her on my 25th birthday.  She was one of the first cats I rescued, and she has always been my muse.

Middy ring

Middy locket (pic on outside)/charm necklace

Middy locket ("SWEET" on outside, pic on inside)

Then she made me these beautiful pictures based on the portraits I sent.

Middy (my beautiful muse)

Odin (my Norse one-eyed god)

Nina (my Southern belle flamepoint Siamese)

I laughed and cried because you captured their purrsonalities so purrfectly.

Thank you so much for Monday morning tears.

Thank you!

My partner pioneer9 doesn't have a camera, so she asked us to post pictures of what we sent her.

One of her themes was an interpretation of the following quote.  "In a minute there is time for decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse."

This is what I made:

I made it so that the second hand can be rotated 360 degrees around the clock face.
