Well i haven't done a very good job of keeping this CAL going  Cheesy

BUT I did finish! I took about a month break from crochet, but it's a very quick project. Here's some pics I've been meaning to post. Did anyone else start?

Well I've done another couple of rounds so I thought I'd post a new picture. I hate weaving in ends, so every few rounds, I'm trying to stop and weave some in. So far it's working! Smiley

Hey everyone,
I made this blanket for my coworker. Everyone else in the store knew about it, but they all kept it a secret from her. She was really surprised and loved it Smiley

6  Noro Silk Garden scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by t1g3rl1ly on: December 10, 2006 12:58:58 PM
Inspired by this thread:
I decided to make my own scarf with 2 skeins of Noro Silk Garden that had been lurking in my stash for a while.

and a close-up: it really doesn't look this bumpy on the sides Smiley

7  "Exquisite" doily - im addicted in Crochet: Completed Projects by t1g3rl1ly on: December 10, 2006 12:48:54 PM
The pattern ("Exquisite") is from a book called Extra-Special Doilies. It's a Leisure Arts publication.

and a close-up of the outer part: 2 rows of pineapples and a really pretty border - reminds me of leaves

Comments welcome

8  Nintendo Shroom in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by t1g3rl1ly on: December 10, 2006 12:41:27 PM
This is my version of the Shroom pattern from crochetme.com. I used scrap yarn - i think the red may have been Red Heart and the bottom part was Sugar 'n Cream. Fast project!

I did a couple of alterations to the pattern:
I made the opening a bit smaller (so things would stay in the top better).
I stuffed the bottom with clear marbles (so he would stand up) wrapped in fiberfill
and of course, added a bit of embroidery for the Nintendo look

Here he is before he left the house:

and in his natural habitat...

Enjoy! Smiley

9  "Rosa" doily in Crochet: Completed Projects by t1g3rl1ly on: July 05, 2006 10:35:21 PM
Here is another doily I made. This time it was for my mom. She had been asking for one for quite some time.

It's called "Rosa" and it's from a Leisure Arts publication called Doilies with a Twist by Patricia Kristoffersen.

The center part of the doily is little corkscrews. Cool effect, but it took me FOREVER; it's a lot of crocheting into chains (which i don't like to do). Needless to say, I won't be making anymore doilies out of this book, but I'm glad I made this one. It reminds me of a snowflake. Smiley

a little bit closer:

10  Re: Odessa (Grumperina for MagKnits) KAL in Knitalongs by t1g3rl1ly on: February 20, 2006 06:42:58 PM
Here's mine! I've been really horrible about posting this. I finished it about a week ago.  Embarrassed

I used Rowan Cashsoft DK in "Mirage". This is the first hat I've ever made, and the first time I used beads. It took me a couple of tries, but once I got the hang out it, it was a pretty fast knit. I plan on making a few more of these for gifts.
