Details of swap:
In the style of all ongoing swaps, the ongoing inchie swap was first launched by nilmerg during the holiday season of 2011.  We are trying to hold one every month and a half, with a month or so layover.

For anyone who is not sure what and inchie is or how to go about making one, here is a great post on the papercraft forums by phizzychick (who makes amazing inchies!) https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=303188.0

You will need to make a list of at least 8 themes for people to choose from. I will put up my list first and will wrap up the swap by making the last claim. Once you claim you will need to craft and send 8 inchies of the chosen theme and send them within 2 weeks of the claim date.

Everyone is encouraged to join.  If you can contain your art to a square of 1 inch, you can make an inchie!  With that said, please make your inchies with love and care.  Whether you paint, print, stamp, color, draw, ink or embellish, spend a bit of time and energy making the inchies you send to the best of your ability.  Everyone you claim should receive inchies you are proud to have made and would love to recieve.  If you are intimidated by the 1 inch of space or because you've never made an inchie before, we are hoping to plan a beginners inchie swap (not limited only to beginners, of course  Wink) towards the end of this swap.  They are a lot of fun, and a great way to experiment with the inchie techniques, if you are unsure.

Friends of craftster will be allowed 5 claims, people who have completed one swap or more may make 3 claims and new swappers may claim once, and 3 times once the first claim has been recieved. Once these claims have been received, you may claim again. You can make as many (or as few) claims as you want throughout the duration of the swap as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a set of inchies that has not been received; when that set is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to claim again.)

Making a claim:
When you make a claim please use the following layout in the swap forum:

Is the message I got.  I have no idea what I'm doing, b ut I know I just spent an hour of time trying to deal with getting some pictures up, and I'm getting a little frustrated.  I 'uploaded' them several times, without them showing up, the last time I got the message.

Nothing is very easy I guess..........
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Future?!? on: November 03, 2011 09:28:50 AM
I have heard of the elusive future sealer (sold in cleaning supplies) and have wanted to try it for a long time on polymer clay.  I looked for it once a few years ago, gave up, and about a week ago, I was in it for the hunt.  I looked all over town for it, then came home and searched the web.  I found out that it no longer exists as just 'future' the product, but now rather it is pledge floor care with future shine.  I got this from the SCJohnson website.  I even knew what the bottle looked like.  Went shopping again.  I found it, but was discouraged to see they made different formulas for wood and vinyl floors.  So I didn't get it.  I came home and researched a bit more, didn't find any sources that said to use one or the other, so I went back and got the wood formula, since I thought that would have been considered the original formula.  I don't think I got the right one....  I was hunting around and came across someone's blog video where they have a bottle of future, the vinyl formula, sitting on the counter as they were working with polymer clay.  They did mention the future, so I'm pretty sure they weren't just doing the floors before they started the clay video.  Has anyone tried the wood formula?  Is it a lost cause, should I take it back?  It looks exactly the same, but I would really love to finally know the truth of this future business, and get to slathering it all over a bunch of pieces that have been sitting around begging to be sealed with something.  Any info is highly appreciated!
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Bookmark swap... on: January 20, 2011 08:35:32 AM
When I was very new to craftser, this past summer, the first swap I ever wanted to join was a bookmark swap.  I wasn't a member long enough by that time, so I couldn't join.  From what I saw, the bookmark swaps happened every so often, but there hasn't been another one since, and I watch this board waiting for one to pop up.  Has it just not been long enough?   Smiley  If I knew what I was doing I'd offer to organize one, but I'm afraid I'm way too amateur for the organizer business.  I would be happy to co-organize!  But is there anyone out there interested in this at all in the sometime near future?

I'll find out and fix later.  This is going to be my test post.  Thanks for looking!

7  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Is there a wist FAQ? on: August 18, 2010 10:08:23 PM
Especially when combined with craftster?  I've been here a month, and I think I'd like one, but I'm still not sure what exactly it is good for....  Am I at least getting this right?

1.  It is for ANYTHING you like online that has a picture...  even things such as books from amazon and stuff on ebay and etsy?

I have read lots about wists here, and I know that is a completely separate website.  Still is seems everyone has one here, so it must be beneficial to socializing, swaps and a number of other things here.  It is supposed to be for anything that happens to catch your eye, right?  That leads to more questions.....

2.  I have seen a few posts where someone has made something for someone else according to a wist they had that originated from etsy.  Well, doesn't that person that is selling the item on etsy MIND that something was made very similar to what they made and are trying to sell?  My thoughts were maybe not, or maybe no one cares because whatever it is is being made as a 'gift' for someone and not for sale.  Still, lets say I'm in a swap and I have a wist from somewhere on etsy and my swap partner makes the same thing that the etsy person was selling?  Is that allowed, or are you ONLY to be 'inspired' by what is on someone's wist from etsy?

3.  The only way I'm going to be able to ask this question is by giving an example.  Let's say I want to add a wist of an ad for a certain mainsteam item.  Let's say... Pepsi or something.  But my fascination and reason for adding this ad to my wists is purely for the artistry of the ad, and not because I'm a pepsi fan.  let's say i hate pepsi, but love that certain ad.  Is there a way to say why the certain wist caught your eye?

4.  I've been looking at other people's wists, and sometimes I really like something from someone else's wist.  Is it politically correct to 'shop' off of someone else's wist here, or does it just make me look like a big copycat?  (I like what yoooou like!!!  Nyeh nyeh!)

Okay, if anyone can try to explain this to me, I'm all ears.  I did a search, but I just could not find what i was looking for.  And after being here a month, i really think I need to at least start a wist, you know? Thank you, anybody who is willing to share the wisdom! Wink
8  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Foam with polymer clay, or somehting that would substitute? on: July 23, 2010 04:14:10 PM
Hi all,
I did a search, but couldn't find much on how to replicate a foam on clay.  Not exactly like whipped or shaving cream, but like... tiny bubbles.  Is that possible, or has someone ever had success in substituting something else?  I have used microbeads for bubbles in a teeny bathtub charm before, but I'm looking for some other ideas.  I'm really into making food miniatures right now.  I have a young daughter and she has been inspiring me to make mostly cutesy things for a while now.  I wanted to try a root beer float (will have whipped cream, but I'm puzzled over foam...) Thank you for any suggestions and I'm sorry if this has been asked before somewhere in old post land.
