21  Re: Ongoing inchie swap (OIS) - Gallery and discussion (Feb. - March) in The Swap Gallery by kimchery on: March 21, 2012 07:36:27 AM
**haha i accidentally posted this in the claim thread! I must be tired!

LOL, I think you were still tired.   Cheesy  You flipped flopped the inchies from pioneer9 and I.  I know for SURE the last set is from me, and I'm pretty sure the first set (that you have marked from me) is from pioneer9.
I thought I got a better picture before I sent them out, but they are all dark.  This picture of the dreamcatcher is bright enough but sideways of course.

Here's my lovely fantasy inchies from Quasior.

Love these dragons, all the glittery parts and how different they are.

And the fairy with the rainbow behind her is perfect.  And I got some inchies from Qausior's son again, who is such a great artist himself.  Thank you two!

I hope the upcoming month brings you better luck, MunLtStmpr.  We can only hope that it is an opposite of the trouble this month has brought.  mandys_momma said it best,... relax and think of what you want to do next, and maybe it will be something better than you could have imagined.  Luck to you.

P.S.  Mandys_momma, you can always add to your list for this round, there's still a few weeks of claims left to go.   Wink

I missed posting my ATC from January.  Sorry about that, Fenore!

Such a cute kitty card.  Thank you, I was glad to finally see it from so far away.  For a minute I thought it was lost. Smiley

So sad to see this swap be over...  I got my last bookmark from moniqueramsey...

Love the bright colors and the stamps that were used.  Thank you, it will be landing in the book I'm reading by tonight.

And thanks, SaralaAnne (and YumJello01) for organizing!  I've hardly been here to say nearly enough about this gallery, but every bookmark is so creative and wonderful. What talented people to make something as everyday and mundane as a bookmark so special.

Thanks!  The polymer clay was a happy experiment.  I was unsure they'd be strong enough for how thin they are, and I tried to break them before the post office had a chance to.  So glad to see that they survived, even without any special packaging.

Here are my inchies from pioneer9.  My camera kept on uploading seemingly clear pictures and making them fuzzy, but these ones finally turned out.

Love my brightly colored rainbows.   Cheesy  How funny that the 2nd rainbow alludes to the next Wizard of OZ set.

I was so pumped to see some lost inchies!  No one has made me TV inchies before, and I have always been interested to see what people would make into an inchie out of a show.  I haven't seen the 'not pennys boat' episode in years, but I loved the show so much, the inchie gave me chills.  They are all great, pioneer9.  Thanks, these are missing pieces to my inchie collection.

Got my first set of inchies for this round from suueedee.  Had to run on over and show them off!

Except I took a sideways pic on my phone!  Darn it.  I'm really into the dimensional accents on these inchies.  The backgrounds of the middle ones are text (that I can actually read if I really try!) from Shakespeare and they are A Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo and Juliet.  The bottom one that is really dark is Macbeth.  There are pictures of the story along with little playbills.  The top two are about Shakespeare himself.  A portrait and where he's from.  Love them all!  Thank you, suueedee!

I received from 3 of my partners, so it would be a good time to post my goodies.  I got this fabulous fabric bookmark from littlehajerika last week, and just now got around to uploading.

The fabric is about perfect for me, and I've never had (or seen, actually) a bookmark like this.

These are from bunny1kenobi that came in my mailbox full of fun today.  I love the tree bookmark with the dangle-y rainbow tail (and background too).  It was custom made for my love of the spectrum.  And who can't love a 'I like big books and I cannot lie' bookmark?   Grin  Not me, for sure!

I also received this one in the mail today from LauraLynn125.  The post office did ruin the packaging and I was worried when I got it out of my mailbox, but after unpacking I saw the bookmark was fine.  The machine just got stuck on the rhinestones that are on the front and back.  That must have been some amazing glue!

Thank you ladies, love all my bookmarks!

Details of swap:
In the style of all ongoing swaps, the ongoing inchie swap was first launched by nilmerg during the holiday season of 2011.  We are trying to hold one every month and a half, with a month or so layover.

For anyone who is not sure what and inchie is or how to go about making one, here is a great post on the papercraft forums by phizzychick (who makes amazing inchies!) https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=303188.0

You will need to make a list of at least 8 themes for people to choose from. I will put up my list first and will wrap up the swap by making the last claim. Once you claim you will need to craft and send 8 inchies of the chosen theme and send them within 2 weeks of the claim date.

Everyone is encouraged to join.  If you can contain your art to a square of 1 inch, you can make an inchie!  With that said, please make your inchies with love and care.  Whether you paint, print, stamp, color, draw, ink or embellish, spend a bit of time and energy making the inchies you send to the best of your ability.  Everyone you claim should receive inchies you are proud to have made and would love to recieve.  If you are intimidated by the 1 inch of space or because you've never made an inchie before, we are hoping to plan a beginners inchie swap (not limited only to beginners, of course  Wink) towards the end of this swap.  They are a lot of fun, and a great way to experiment with the inchie techniques, if you are unsure.

Friends of craftster will be allowed 5 claims, people who have completed one swap or more may make 3 claims and new swappers may claim once, and 3 times once the first claim has been recieved. Once these claims have been received, you may claim again. You can make as many (or as few) claims as you want throughout the duration of the swap as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a set of inchies that has not been received; when that set is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to claim again.)

When you make a claim please use the following layout in the swap forum:

I recently received 2 ATCs that I just love...
from tastyclaythings in my theme of rainbows....

This was a great way to use paint chips, and it made for a perfect rainbow ATC.

This one is from jillybeans for my hippie theme

It is so bright and colorful, I love looking at it.  (sorry for the flipped pic.  I wish I knew how to fix that when it happens!)

Thank you both for amazing ATCs to add to my collection.
