11  Re: Felt Badge Round 2 Gallery!! (Send Out July 9) in The Swap Gallery by kimchery on: July 09, 2012 08:26:50 AM
As if this gallery isn't great enough already, I have some amazing badges to add that I got from Interrobam...
One of my (many) themes is animals doing human-like things.  I didn't imagine someone would get an idea for a badge from that, but she did, and you can tell it is a creation of her own imagination.  Its is so detailed!

A white collar peacock!  Can you believe all the details she managed to fit in such a tiny space?  All the tail feathers are perfectly plumed out as he prepares to tackle the day.  He is wearing a tie, for goodness sake.   Cheesy  Note the stress toy and the coffee cup that says 'TIIF' for Thank Isis its Friday.  All the keys on the keyboard,.. wow.

And with this badge, she managed to felt-ify my cat, Jasmine, without even seeing a picture.  Just the two descriptive words, fat and fluffy, and she managed to capture everything, and her attitude, too.

And here's one last pic of the whole felt haul, along with the mermaid note card that Interrobam drew.  Had to throw that in there, because that is something I will surely keep and tack up somewhere.
Thanks so much, I loved it all Emily.  I hope when my badges make it there you like them half as much as I like these.

I got some new inchies from geekgirl1000100.

She claimed me for googley eyed animals, and I love the ones she made, but all the others she sent as well were just as admired.  I love the different paper used in the background.  The fox is great!  Couldn't have been cuter even with googley eyes.   Smiley

The circus tent, so cute!  And lots of others from my favorite themes (Dr. Suess, Alice, even a Princess Bride inchie   Cheesy)

Thanks so much!

The last 3 sets of inchies with cats are wonderful.  And the penguins before that are adorable.

Here's my new inchies from trisarose.

The colors, the glittery accents, the clever wording... they are so much fun.    Cheesy

But these are my favorites.  Love them all, but the 'hey, girlie' made me smile, the glittery sewing machine is really neat (and well snipped!), Alice anything really rocks, and the "all the world's a stage" is probably my... favorite favorite?  You know what I mean.   Wink

Thank you, trisarose, I can't believe you were worried about your inchie making abilities.  You put lots of thought and creativity into them and I was so excited to get the wonderful lot of them!   Wink

My inchies to Quasior finally made it to her after being lost once.  The second set made it this week after thinking that set was lost too thank goodness.  Here they are...

I claimed for animals and artist's choice.  I decided (for fun) to make the animals in colors they would never be.

And these are card suit zentangles.

She has also sent me inchies from her kids that I have really liked, so I set my daughter Winter to making some inchies for her too.  She did a "banana (on my dotted paper), a pink poodle, and a purple house."  I also sent the 2 on the bottom that I made when I first sat down to inchie with Winter.
Glad they made it to you, Julie!  Hope you like 'em.

I got my inchies from Hoppy and love them too.

The top row..... so cute!!!  And the titles on the back just add to their obvious charm.  'mousemowing', 'a little yardwork for mr. crab', and 'redusss, reussse, resssycle'.  Ha, love it!  Then the bottom are for my love of rainbows, and inspired by my pinterest.  The tree is awesome!

And this witch is great!!!  She counted the 4 of these as one, so I got extra.  Whoo!

I didn't get a clear shot of this one, but its french knots.  After cross stitching forever and embroidering for a little while, you'd think I'd know how to do these.  I have been messing them up for years and years, and just finally made a decent looking TWO french knots last weekend, so it made me laugh to see all of these.  Beautiful.   Cheesy
Thank you, hoppy!  I hope you liked making inchies.... I hope everyone has!

I received my inchies from ErintheRed02.  I am so excited.... she had my style nailed.  They are all so bright and colorful.

And she did a great amount of stalking to find my tastes in movies and music.  I love both the "As you wish" Princess Bride inchie and the Pink Floyd one.  And anything rainbow is always loved and appreciated.   Grin

The matroyshka is wonderful, too.  I love all of 'em.  I am kinda curious....  Did you use watercolor pencils are regular watercolors in most of these?  Or am I way off and you used something else completely?

Thank you Erin, I love my new inchies.   Smiley

Wow, this gallery is AMAZING!

I was lucky enough to have 2 great partners who were willing to swap 2 badges with me.  First from susanab

The different colors of stitching in the owl is so cool, and I love that he's teal.  And the matroyshka is lovely.  2 of my favorite cute and happy things.   Smiley
And from WideEyedLife

I got another owl, this one so different, and so adorable.  And I love the flower.  It has beading in the middle and around the edge.

Thank you both, you were perfect partners!  All my badges are well loved.   Smiley

I realized I hadn't yet shared this set of inchies from Quasior.

She took on making some movable ones.  The top wings move, and the tree in the next picture opens to reveal a nest.

Her son made me some too, which I love.  I'm thinking Dr. Suess is my new favorite theme!  Thanks, Julie.  Now I just can't wait til you get my last set to you!

I got some inchies from audio that she sent forever ago.  They took the long way to get to me apparently, but I'm so glad they finally got here, they're great!

They are all so colorful and unique.  I love the alice in wonderland, and I'm so glad she was inspired to do half of them alice.  The little phrases are great.  I'm especially fond of 'I poke it.'  Ha!  The top ones are a nice random (as is my list of themes) mix of colorful.  The fat cat is so cute.

Thanks audio, I'm so happy they made it.   Smiley

I'm long overdue posting the inchies I've received from nilmerg and seeuudee.  They came at a time when I needed some cheering up, and they did not fail at doing so.  Both sets are great and I love 'em!
These are from nilmerg:

When I heard someone say they got some geocaching themed inchies (from nilmerg), I had to throw that up on my themes list.  Luckily she claimed me for them and they are pretty awesome.  I just realized I haven't even shown my husband yet, he will get a huge kick out of them too.  Anytime the whole family is around and doing nothing, we end up going geocaching, and its one of our favorite pastimes.  And now I'm glad to have some inchies that show off my favorite activities.  And bonus inchies, woohoo!

All of these birds in flight silhouettes are beautiful.  I don't think I could have come up with as many if I tried.  Thank you, I was spoiled with the inchies!

And these are from seeuudee:

I couldn't possibly pick a favorite. They are all so colorful.  And from a theme that should have been on my theme list forever ago.  I love Dr. Suess, and of course, so does my daughter.  She likes ALL the inchies I get, but she was really impressed with these.  "WOW, Thing 1 and Thing 2!!!"  There's so much detail in each, and I love the embellishments.  The Truffula trees inchie made me laugh because I always find myself looking at them and thinking they would make a great inchie.  I guess I was right and great minds think alike.   Wink

Thank you, Elaine and Gini!
