When I saw that the theme of this challenge was crayon and pencils I automatically thought about my friend Monica. She is always bright and happy just like crayons and she loves crayons! So I thought that this would be perfect for her.
I remembered that she asked me to make her a skirt one time, so I used this challenge as an opportunity to make it and add some crayons into the mix. originally I had planned to put more crayons into my crayon embellished skirt, but i got distracted and used up the crayon sheets making the bracelet. ^_^" hehe oops
I hope you enjoy what i've come up with...

in action ^_^:

and to think, those came from this

**props to martha stewart and rebekah hodous, i combined their methods and came up with my crayon beads.

i ended up using up all of my jumbo green crayon and my pretty blue green crayon, all i have left are the wrappers  Cry
RAWR!! my in the process pics won't load
ooo, and the skirt has pockets! <3
c & c are welcome! so don't be afraid to say what you feel
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / To make it longer or not, that is my troublesome question on: August 23, 2010 12:46:09 AM
Hello, so I'm working on a patchwork circle skirt for myself, and I'm not sure if I should make it longer or just leave it at this length. Since I'm short, the length pretty much works for me but is it to short? Or is it fine?

if i do make it longer, i was thinking of putting tulle underneath and peeking out or else making smaller patches and lining the bottom with them so its just a tad longer

any suggestions are welcome!

*sorry for the horrible picture, my phone's camera isn't the best ^_^

5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / first dress for friend's cousin ^_^ [pictures are kinda big] on: July 23, 2010 10:29:28 PM
My friend and I made a dress for her cousin who is turning eight.

we based it off a pattern, but tweaked it and added some stuff. we made a braided belt and the straps are also braided.

there is a tulle moon at the bottom:

the top part is actually a deep violet and the bottom is a midnight blueish color. it was really fun making this dress
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / semi-Giant DOMO on: July 06, 2010 10:44:39 PM
I made this domo with my friend's help for our friend's birthday. since he likes domo and skateboarding, we made his domo a skateboard with his name on it.

it was really fun to make and only took us about 12 hours.

haha we worked on it from 5:00pm to 5:00am, we barely even noticed the time until we finished it.
