1  New Apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Caroline92f on: December 06, 2010 08:22:12 AM
An apron I made for my daughter at her request.  She wanted something feminine but still a bit punky.

2  Toddler Aprons - Granddaughters in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Caroline92f on: August 28, 2010 02:58:35 PM
I made these two aprons for my granddaughters.  They are not perfect, but I hope they like them.  I have just started sewing and I am really enjoying putting love in these sewing projects.

I am just learning to sew, so I bought a Domestic Diva Apron kit and sewed it up.  I added the sweet buttons I bought online from My Little Bit of Whimsy.  I think it's cute.  Grin

7  Upholstery in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Caroline92f on: July 12, 2010 05:36:36 PM
My DH and I decided we needed to recover the dining room chairs for our new color scheme.  Quote from the furniture store for a recover was $200 per cushion.  We drove down to the city to Calico Corners and picked up an 8 yard remnant that was discounted to $50 for 8 yards.  We only used 2 yards.  That's $6.25 per yard at $12.50 for all four chairs, with 6 yards of fabric left over for curtains, pillows, and a tablecloth or runner.

8  Freezer Paper Band Shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Caroline92f on: July 12, 2010 06:56:24 AM
First attempt at using a freezer paper stencil.  This was a very fun project.  I followed the "Craftster Quickies" tutorial as I went. Smiley

Here is the finished tee:

This is the CD cover I made my stencil from:

Here is the paint I used and I used "stencil brushes" specifically.

9  Apron (first) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Caroline92f on: July 05, 2010 12:16:11 PM
I deconstructed an apron my MIL had given me 25 years ago to make this.  She was and still is very crafty.   This was a fun project, but the ruffle was a bit frustrating for a first timer.  It made a nice homemade gift for a friend who loves blue.

10  Tablerunner (First) in Quilting: Completed Projects by Caroline92f on: July 05, 2010 12:11:09 PM
I made my very first table runner after taking a table runner quilting class at our local sewing cottage.  I wish I had taken a picture of the back.  It was really fun piecing it all together, but I wish I had paid better attention in geometry!
