11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Operation Beautiful - edited More pics! on: August 24, 2009 08:06:12 AM
I love this so hard!  I just discovered Operation Beautiful last night, and I've been looking through their archives; I saw your picture there and thought, "That looks Craftster-y"--and then I looked at the link and lo!  Here you are!

Love!!  <3  Please keep updating if you make more.  They (and you) are so beautiful, and so wonderful.

I always used to cry over "Let It Be"--for YEARS, every time.  First note, bam, I'd be crying.  And I never could figure out why--there was absolutely no reason to.  It didn't even make me feel sad or anything, it just made me cry all over the place.  And then suddenly it just stopped, also for no reason.  I feel you, secret-sender!

Ahh, it's so good to see more Al after so long! Cheesy I love the mini-Al--so cute, and so awesome.  And I'm so in love with the pillow!  I will be wisting it as soon as I've finished writing this post.  My Al-ette-ness is untarnished by the passage of time. Grin

I'm in!  I'm going to be out of the house all day today, which means no crafting till at least this evening--but on the other hand, it means I can spend the day planning secrets. Cheesy

(I'm not in this round, I'm just stalking the gallery. Wink )

It says:
I sometimes wish that they did not resuscitate me at birth.  Maybe my parents would have happier lives.

I needed to comment on this, because I really, really know this feeling.  I wasn't resuscitated, but I was an unplanned pregnancy and neither of my parents wanted kids.  My dad has spent the better part of thirty years making sure that I feel like everything that is wrong with his life is my fault.

I can tell you from hard-won experience, Secret Sender, that your parents would NOT have had happier lives without you.  If they're unhappy now, they would have been unhappy anyway, because happiness or unhappiness is something you carry around inside you.  My dad is an unhappy person, period, and nothing I could ever do would change that.  Nothing I've ever done--and I've tried and tried and tried and tried, desperately--HAS ever changed that.  It's incredibly difficult and frustrating to try to remember that, and sometimes I don't manage to remember it, but it's true.  So just know that I'm thinking about you and sending love your way. Kiss

Me too, I'd love to see a tute.  I love that you kept the pages unglued so it looks like a perfectly ordinary book until it's opened.  Excellent job!

My very last card. Cry

I watched I Just for Chad Micheal Murry
(I'm pretty sure the second 'I' is supposed to be 'It'.  The movie poster, if you can't see, is for House of Wax.)

Oh, I have watched many a film for no other reason than that it had somebody in it I wanted to see!  I've watched a lot of movies I didn't know anything about, even, just because it had an actor in it that I liked, and I've watched some really bad movies for the same reason.  Some of them I've watched..er...more than once. Roll Eyes  Thanks for this card!

Now that I've received all my cards, maybe I'll have a chance to go back and respond to a bunch of the ones I've looked at but not commented on.  I'm way behind!

By the way, I'd just like to send out a blanket THANK YOU to all of the senders of the cards I've received.  I've liked every one of them, and I'm treasuring them.  This swap has been incredible.

Wow, Haylie, 16 cards!  I can't wait!  I think I only have one card left to receive and I'm sad that the swap will be winding down soon, so I'm actually kind of excited to have a big batch show up in the gallery. Cheesy

Here's the one I got today:

Villains always have more _ _ _ appeal

I would provisionally agree. Wink
