1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: crocheted whip on: May 24, 2005 04:59:58 PM
Hehe, it doesn't work too well, it's really more of a show piece. But it can be used for some gentle teasing ;-)
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Creamsicle Soap! on: February 22, 2005 02:06:46 PM
Those are really pretty!
I made some cramsicle soaps about a year ago. I first made a batch of white soap and scented in with vanilla (Half the mold). Once that hardened I made a batch of orange coloured and scented soap and poured it over it. I gave them as Christmas presents and people were quite pleased.

8  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Who doesn'T like skulls? on: October 29, 2004 03:43:40 PM
Stich N Bitch is the only book I have that talks about intarsia, but I looked around on the web and found some info on it and fair isle knitting. Once you get going it's pretty easy, it's a lot easier than it sounds.

Thnx Guys! From all the skull crafts I've been seeing, looks like they could write a whole book just about that, lol.
10  CANADA / Quebec / Re: Montreal: thrift and craft stores on: June 10, 2004 03:46:35 PM
I'm out in the West Island of Montreal, and even if you don't live in the area it's worth a trip for crafting. There'S a wal-mart, 2 winners, a Villager Des Valeurs... There'S a really good Dollarama (The best I've seen) on the corner of Hymus and St. Charles in Kirkland. In the Pointe Claire Plaza on St.John's there is Ted's Hobby shop, as well As a yarn store (I can't remeber the name)
For Fabric, there'S both Fabricville and Bouclair in Dollard, and if you head down to Pointe Claire Village, you'll find a specialty bead shop, as well as a scrapbooking store.
For thrift shops downtown, walk up and down Mount Royal and you'll find a ton. There's alo Eva B on St Laurent, as well as a few army surplus stores.
