1  Re: Crafting Appreciation Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by flygirl88 on: May 14, 2019 07:31:17 AM
Here is my beyond amazing package from Onyxnox!

So to give background.  I am a massive fan of Stephen King's Dark Tower (Gunslinger) series.  I've read the series 3 times, have the audiobooks and the graphic novels.  My next tattoo will be based on the books. I'm building a new craftroom and it will be Gunslinger themed. So, imagine how beside myself I was when I open up the package and this greets me:

Craftster won't let me rotate the photo, so tilt your head to see in it's full glory?  It is beyond amazing. The saying is iconic to the series.  And the crow and rose are major symbols.  Honestly, if this was the whole package, I'd still be thinking I was beyond spoiled.  Suffice to say, I love it.

Then, there are these 2 shirts.  They make me giggle.  I can't wait to wear them to my next craft group gathering.

Plus (!)  all of these supplies.  Can you believe it?  I can't wait to try these out. Probably should go clean my craft room.

The rings will be for holding washi tape.  I have so so many rolls.  Planning on organizing them by theme.  This will be a significantly easier way to see all of my tapes.

And finally, these very cute labels, which I have so many ideas for already.

Thank you so much!!!!

Now for the rest of my cards!

From Onyxnox:

A massive amount of cards!

Group shot:

A very cool idea to make mini cards:

Next time I make a OSW I will also make mini cards to use up every shred of paper.  I love how 3D the butterflies are.

Next up - pocket cards with tags.  I love how the diagonal cuts were used to make pockets. Definitely a new way of thinking of card fronts.

It was hard to pick but I think this one is my favourite.  I love the colours on the balloon.

Geekgirl sent a pile of happy birthday cards

I like the contrast of all the card bases.

Hard to pick but my favourite is between these 2 cards:

Love them.  The little hat on the H cracks me up.

Thank so much for beautiful cards everyone!  I'll be finalizing organizing this weekend and will start doing feedback then.

First up I have my cards from Kbrison.  The paper is perfect for me!!!!  I love how the cardstock matches the paper.

Group shot:

Check out the amazing embellishments on these 2 cards.  Super hard to pick a favourite

I love the heart with the airplane.  I could use these cards personally or with all of my coworkers.

And look at the windows on this plane:

Thank you Kbrison for the beautiful cards.  I love them.

Will upload my other sets received today Smiley

I ended up doing a OSW set for myself.  I kept the embellishments pretty simple and let the paper speak for itself. I'm happy with how it turned out.

I ended up doing the same template for my 3 partners but with different papers.  I tried to pick something that each would like.  I finished 2 completely.  1 set is 1/3 done. Just needs sentiments and sayings on the others.

Now for my beautiful package from Thimbles71

Fun tags!

The cards were done with adhering fabric onto cardstock.  Loved the technique.  Going to steal it for myself.  The results as you can see are fantastic.

Christmas bird

And my favourite because I am a sucker for airplanes

Love the window cut out

Thanks so much Thimbles.  I have already chosen who is getting several of the cards!

Starting with my package from Artmomto5

Fun glittery tags with festive pictures

This super cute card which had a cute coordinating envelope

Love this Noel card with the fleur de lis. Great textures used.

The button card is my favourite of the lot.  Love the big star on top

And this really creative card using old cards.  Great upcycling

...and baby is awake. I'll post Thimbles cards this evening.  Thank you so much for sharing your talents with my Artmom!  It was a really nice package to receive.

Time to post the awesomeness I received in the mail from Onyxnox.

These beautiful snowflakes are stunning.  I love 3D aspects to cards.  The shading around the edges makes for an antique look.  Love them!

Gorgeous bird cards.  I'm going to be copying the doubling of the die cuts.  I love this look so much. And the birds are delightful.

The picture doesn't do this set justice but the poinsettia shimmers. I love the coordinating background.

Love love love this set!  The embossing around the edges really pop the main image.

This set makes me think of an ideal old fashioned Christmas.  The wood balanced against the wreath and birds is perfect.

Last but certainly not least this tree set.  I'm a sucker for embossing and silver against blue is always one of my favourite combos.  I feel like the bling (did you notice the tiny stars?) really finishes the look.

I loved the package.  Thanks again Onyxnox.  You once again spoiled me and I so look forward to using these.

Alright everyone. Get those Pinterest buttons ready.  I received from Vkvhawk and oh man.... this is amazing.  And you won't believe this, but this is her first swap.

Ready?  Ok, here we go!

First off the envelope.  My Post Master was excited when she saw the envelope.  Me too.

The front.  The bird was saying my address.

The back

Close up of the dragonfly.  I'm going to cut this out and use it on a card front.  Dragonflies have special meaning in our family and my cousin could really use one.

All the loot!  Talk about spoiling.

A beautiful watercolour bird

Gorgeous flowers.  I'm so excited.  Making pictures myself in any form (such as drawing or painting) is out of my talent range so it is special to receive these.  Truly art.

A mug rug!!  My first.  Look how amazing it is.

Stunning cards

Isn't this beautiful.  I have a project in mind for this.  I'm going to incorporate it into a Christmas present.

A feather.  This I'm going to either scrapbook or make into a card.

And last but certainly not least these fun rebent clips.

Thank you so much Vkvhawk.  I love everything.  I'd love to swap with you again.

Last, but certainly not least, I have my FABulous FABric tags and cards by Thimbles71.

Here are the tags.  They have the cutest pictures on the front.

The cards all have a quilted charm to them.  I've never thought about doing cards this way so it has given me some inspiration for a few projects.  Love them!

Thanks so much Thimbles.  I loved your take on everything.  Smiley
