1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame on: November 05, 2013 04:10:21 PM
I decided this past summer that I wanted to be Esmeralda for Halloween this year because I work in a daycare and wanted something the kids would recognize. Everything in this costume is handmade by me except the blouse! It took forever since I didn't have any patterns, but it was so much fun!

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crochet literature on: August 29, 2012 11:54:57 PM
I'm not even sure if this is the place to post this, but I figured this crochet crowd would be the most forgiving and likely to answer!

I'm looking for novels about crocheters. There are plenty of knitting novels (Knits and Purls, The Friday Night Knitting Club series, etc), but I was wondering if anyone had found anything to do with crocheting? It's not urgent, I'm just curious! Thanks for your time!!
3  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: ORGANIZING: JUNE GRANNY-A-DAY 06/01/11-06/30/11 on: June 01, 2011 05:32:40 PM
Yesterday I made 16 squares towards my Mario blanket...lets hope I can manage that many across June today!  Grin
i also want to do a mario 8-bit granny square blanket for my brother-in-law. i'm kind of intimidated by the thought, though. i'm not sure how i want to attatch them yet, but i'll probably end up doing an as-you-go method.

On average, about how much yarn is needed for these patterns? That is if i were making it as a baby blanket?
