11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What are you working on right now? on: October 18, 2006 11:57:00 AM
What project(s) do you have going on?

I feel like I have too much going on at once and finishing nothing!

I have a sweater for a holiday gift, 2 scarves, and washcloths for my Grandma's birthday. I typically do just 1 project at a time.

Gotta love this time of year.

So, show me your WIP's.

12  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Another question about Fiber Fests on: October 05, 2006 09:27:46 AM
As someone else said, New York's fiber fest is coming up.

I want to buy a wheel. At first I was going to buy used, but now I think I'm going to wait and buy new. Used wheels are so popular that they are selling for only $50 bucks cheaper than new wheels.(Or atleast that's what I'm finding)

So, my question is, at the fiber fests are the wheels at a discount or can I get extras with a purchase that I can't get free from a lys?

(I didn't want to hijack another post with this question.)

13  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First lace shawl- Forest Canopy Shawl on: September 25, 2006 10:10:41 AM

It's my first lace shawl. And I think it looks...

Awesome. I love it. If you are interested in knitting lace and you are a beginner this is the perfect pattern for you.

The pattern is from Susan Pierce Lawrence. This is the link to the pattern. http://ma2ut.blogspot.com/2006/09/forest-canopy-shoulder-shawl.html

14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Sienna Cardigan from Interweave Knits Fall 2006 on: September 17, 2006 12:22:14 PM

Made with yarn sent to me by a sweet friend in Ireland, this sweater took me just over 2 weeks to finish.

It goes in the Christmas pile. Only 6 more gifts left to complete! How many days do I have left? lol

15  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Sweetness the baby sweater on: August 26, 2006 05:30:38 PM
I'm on a baby sweater kick lately.

Here's Sweetness.

16  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Green sweater on: August 21, 2006 02:58:10 PM
For my friend's baby. It's the cutest thing.

Made from Elsbeth Lavold Silky Wool. Nice yarn, except for the pieces of hay in it.

Close up of neck and button

It's a medium green color. I'm so sick of blue for boys and pink for girls. I did it in 4 days. I remember when something even this small would take me weeks! I guess all that practice is good for something.

I'm planning on making a hat to match too.

Back to holiday knitting!

17  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Eris is done. Yahoo. on: August 11, 2006 07:12:45 AM

It's modified alot. But still beautiful. My mother in law is going to love it.

What do you think??
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Holiday knitting? on: August 09, 2006 01:52:16 PM
It seems ridiculous to talk of the holidays already, but I started my holiday knitting recently. I'm doing a sweater for my mother in law, and so far I have the body  and one sleeve finished.

I also have a list made out of who's getting what and what yarn I'll use for each project.

Anyone else doing holiday knitting yet??
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Isabeau Shrug is done. on: July 12, 2006 09:00:13 AM
Pattern by our very own Chez Plum.

Edit to add-  the photo does not do the lace pattern or color of the yarn justice. Both are beautiful.
