41  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Girl From Auntie's Eris, anyone? on: August 09, 2006 01:56:59 PM
I'm done with the body and a sleeve. I've modified the bottom and sleeve edge alot. Like, a whole different cable. But I think it looks good.

You can see the rest of the sweater and progress in the blog, as always.

42  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Holiday knitting? on: August 09, 2006 01:52:16 PM
It seems ridiculous to talk of the holidays already, but I started my holiday knitting recently. I'm doing a sweater for my mother in law, and so far I have the body  and one sleeve finished.

I also have a list made out of who's getting what and what yarn I'll use for each project.

Anyone else doing holiday knitting yet??
43  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Isabeau Shrug is done. on: July 12, 2006 09:00:13 AM
Pattern by our very own Chez Plum.

Edit to add-  the photo does not do the lace pattern or color of the yarn justice. Both are beautiful.

I'm doing the pullover. It's for my mother in law for Christmas. I thought of doing the cardi, but I'm using stash yarn and I only had enough to do the pullover.

Anyone else interested??

46  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Wedding Gift and Garter (garter pattern link added) on: July 09, 2006 09:22:07 AM
Ditto what everyone else said here. The afghan is just stunning.

I might have missed someone else asking and your reply, but how much yarn did it use? I want to do an afghan for my cousin's wedding with matching pillows, but I had no idea how much yarn it would take.

Congrats on such beautiful work. It's great to be able to share something like that with us. Thank you. It looks like you inspired a bunch of us.

47  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Handmade swift on: July 07, 2006 12:53:16 PM
I know it's not a knitted item, but it makes winding skeins into balls so much faster and easier. After searching for weeks online for a swift that I could afford I asked my husband to make me one. It's finished!! Isn't it cool??

Think that's bad, just wait til you get pregnant! Men think it's contagious, I swear.

49  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: So I bought some sock yarn.... on: June 15, 2006 07:58:44 AM
You could just give it all to me.

It solves your problem of what to make and I get a stash enhancement.

Just kidding.

If you are the shawl type, there's a ton of patterns using sock yarn.

50  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ysolda yarn has arrived. on: June 09, 2006 09:04:01 AM
Haven't a clue. It's a good sized hank. Enough for mittens or a pair of socks, if you watch your yardage.
