Yeah, baby! Thanks for all the info. I'm getting more and more excited. May seems soooo far away!
12  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Maryland sheep and wool questions on: January 20, 2007 01:46:25 PM
Hi! I want to make it down to the Maryland sheep and wool fest.

Any idea where to stay down there? Anything else I should see while in the area?

Beautiful job!! I really love it.

(I can't stand bobbles either, lol.)

14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Greenery Hat on: December 21, 2006 08:07:40 AM

It's a skein of cascade 220. I won it in a blog contest. I have no idea the actual color name, but it's like a wine colored yarn with flecks of light blue, yellow, cream, and other goodies in it. I have a bit left over, not enough for anything except maybe a baby's hat. We'll see.

I finished this hat for a friend.

My holiday gifts are officially d-o-n-e.

Yeah, baby.

Sorry for the craptastic photo. lol

Oh, you can get the pattern FREE! It's in the November archives of Lilith Parker's Lair of Lunacy blog.

PS I wanna keep this hat, bad. Really, really bad.
16  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Alpaca!!! on: December 13, 2006 10:33:45 AM
I'm dying to try alpaca, but I can't seem to find it around here, unless I want to spend alot on it.

Ahhh, alpaca.

Enjoy it.

Madelinetosh, it's a fricke wheel and bobbin. They are huge compared to others I've seen.

Adore one, plying? Umm, not there yet. lol. Newby spinner=no plying-yet. I had dreams of plying it with a cream color. But since I don't have cream roving, who knows what I'm going to do with it.

The Bon, I had just finished writing everything out on the blog, it seemed like it would be a pain for me to rewrite it here. I have to switch all the photos over to flickr and copy and paste the url, then the post. Plus, it was a big blog post, and I was concerned the people without cable/dsl wouldn't read the large post with additional photos here. Thanks for making me think about this though. I'll make it a consideration next time. BTW, it's 70% wool and 30 acryllic. Not so easy to spin as some of the earlier wool I tried.

Misshawklet, I wasn't sure if this would be considered a competed project, that's why I posted it here. I didn't even go on to that board. I will start to, though.

Thanks everyone for the compliments and comments.

18  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Latest spin, pink! on: December 12, 2006 01:09:22 PM

I'm hoping to spin enough for a small shawl or even a pair of mittens.

I explain all about it in the blog, along with other photos of this and more roving.

I love roving.

Not as much a yarn...yet...but it's a close second.

I'd love to see what everyone else is working on!

It is wool. It's kinda a franken-wool-mix, know what I mean? I got it from a spinnery and they basically said it was a mix of all different types of wool.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I love it.

It totally needs to be a cafepress.com shirt.
