2  Gratitude Doodles in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Smeddley on: December 18, 2019 06:50:27 PM
I joined one of those health and well being programs at work, and one of the tasks was, for a week, to write down three things you were grateful for.  I took this a step further and went with "make a little drawing in my bullet journal", and a did three a day for 7 days, then one a day for the remainder of the month.  I actually really enjoyed it, and want to get back to it!

3  Goal book.... 2019... in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Smeddley on: December 18, 2019 06:29:09 PM
I never got around to sharing my goal book for this year, in part because I wasn't totally happy with it.  I never even painted/finished the cover, which was supposed to have a nautilus shell design on it, since my numbers this year were in the fibonacci sequence.  It was decent in idea, I thought, but in reality it was too much of a deviation from what I had been doing:

2018
2017
2016
2015
2014

My favorite page (from an art perspective!) was this one:

And then we had our usual pages of collecting things, which tend to have the best artwork...

Then I tried to do an exercise journal bit in the front, as work was doing a Garmin fitness tracker thing, but there weren't many competitions and I really preferred to use my bullet journal for that!

Other items in the book were the usual: movies, instagram posts, miles walked, blood donated, writing, reading, etc, but in the sequence which made for some... interesting units of measurement!  I had Bloits biked and Bloits walked, drops of blood donated, and pages of books read!

Next year I'll go back to the standard 50 in 50, though I do like the occasional deviation since it let me do things like "3 5Ks Walked!" and some other smaller numbers.  So maybe some day I will revisit it or something similar...

And hopefully I'll be able to share Goal Book 2020 soon someplace!  Sad Cry Kiss

5  Re: Traveling Little Visitor Swap Round 30 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by Smeddley on: November 24, 2019 04:37:13 PM
I'm so sorry I can't rotate these, I tried going into my picture hosting and rotating them but it didn't work properly...

We went to the mall for the first time in forever and saw the carousel:

We went to Junction City Little Theater to see Oklahoma!

Taking a walk at lunch on the trails:

Reading for Book club:

Went to the Halloween Bellydance class:

I haven't gotten too many pictures lately because 1) it's NaNoWriMo and it's been a lot of writing and 2) the things we have been doing were dog adoption events, and I have to wrangle a dog so it's hard to get pictures while keeping hold of the puppers.  But at some point I'll get some pictures of that!

7  Re: Traveling Little Visitor Swap Round 30 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by Smeddley on: October 24, 2019 07:46:30 AM
We had the Always and Furever Animal Sanctuary (mostly an old dog rescue) event last weekend - the 0.1K Howl-o-ween doggie dash!  Everyone dressed up for the occasion...

Then, excitement of excitement, we had health insurance enrollment at work and some PR person thought a tub of blue ear keychains was a good idea...

I mean, swag is swag, but it kinda looks like they took out an entire village of Smurfs...
