Misshapen DPN holders
This is what happens when I don't read/follow directions closely enough!  They will both work for 7" DPNs, but one is ridiculously deep (I suppose it'd be good for giant DPNs and bulky projects?) and the other is just a bit too long (but I did position the snaps so it will securely hold 7" DPNs).

Claim as L - Blue or R - Tan

Project Name: Mini Joust

Brief Description: Technically Joust was originally an arcade game, but it was also ported to the Atari early on, so I'm going with console!  This was a present for my husband for his birthday... I mean, I got him the mini-arcade cabinet for the actual present, but there's no way I was going to wrap that.  So I made him a mini-version to put in a box and wrap!

I swear, I will never not feel guilty that I didn't do enough when I get an LV package back!!!  This time is no exception.  OMG, guys, look what ptarmic wumpus sent back with Dani!!!

Obviously, I have a pumpkin thing, and all my friends that follow my PATT posts every year are going to be so in awe of this haul!!!  First, the stretchy amazing pumpkin fabric, an enormous felted pumpkin, and a pumpkin BASKET!! Hand made!

And zipper pouches, you can never have enough of those!

And TEA! I love tea!

Magnets and brochures and bookmarks, oh my!  I will have to look through these (and the scrapbook) more later, after work... Cheesy

And amazing looking chocolate I'm trying not to eat right now because I'm starving and wouldn't appreciate and savor it enough!

Thank you so much, I'm not worthy! Watch, tonight I'll get home and find something else I was supposed to include in the box (that happens more frequently than I'd like) and feel even more over-spoiled!

Kyle and I (and Emma) just got back from an hour-long walk in 33*F (0*C... or would that be 0.5*C? or 1*C?) weather (and I stupidly only wore a long-sleeved shirt and leggings)...  that was warm compared to what it was week before last (-4*F / -20*C), but also cold compared to what it was week before last (61*F / 16*C).  I love the weather in the Midwest!

7  Cookie Fight! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Smeddley on: January 31, 2019 07:38:06 PM
We had a blood drive at work, and I offered the chance to win cookies as part of it - and, or course, the "fight" between Nutter Butter and Oreo to be the Best Post-Donation Snack had to be more literal... and crafty...

Let's Get Ready to RUUUUUMMMMMMMBBBBLLLLEEEE!

In the Blue Corner, standing 4 1/4 Inches tall and weighing in at 14 grams, NUTTER BUTTER!!!

In the Red corner, standing 2 3/4 Inches tall and weighing in at 11 grams, GOLDEN OREO!!!

DING DING DING DING!  It's ON!  They both come out swinging, and it looks like it will be a tough bout

And the winner, by a KNOCKOUT...

NNNNUUUUUUTTTTTTTEEEEERRRRRR BBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTEEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

If you're curious, this was the set-up on my computer desk to get these pictures...

I don't know that it got any more donors, but people thought it was hilarious and didn't complain about the number of emails, so I count it a win!

So sorry about not posting more, it's been boring here! Mostly working on the yearly goal book, and the garmin challenge at work started so it's just been walking walking walking walking... which is good, but not that photogenic!

We've also been going to book club, and the polished back date means one more Kyle gets to go to!

Awww, Dani got to go all around DC!

... meanwhile, Kyle got to go to the dentist.

I'm thinking someone got the better end of this swap...  Shocked

Eeeeeh, I'm so sorry I haven't posted, I had some time off work (nothing fancy, just cleaning the house - fun, fun) and then I got back to work and things we hectic.  But we have had some fun!

Show Time!

SciFlix movie (Outbreak) at Cinetopia and panel discussion at The Museum at Prairiefire (including the two doctors the book The Hot Zone was largely about!  Sadly, we did not win a signed copy of the book)

At and Antique Mall, I did not have the heart to tell him what it was about!

He did find a kindred spirit at the mall, though!

Exciting stuff, Sediment and Erosion Control Seminar!

O.P. Convention Center Artwork

And, stream clean-up day!

We have more activities planned this week, and hopefully I'll keep up better posting!
