1  Re: True Blood Swap round 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by melinda06sue on: January 14, 2011 09:19:22 PM
You definitely exceeded my expectations as well Applesin!!!
Now to show everyone my package that they should all be jealous of..
this was the box with the wonderful note that she gave me that was detailed like everyone in true blood gave me something Smiley it was great!! ...

first was a hanky that was hand embroidered VERY well by the way with Bill Compton's name Smiley I love bill...

Inside the hanky was this great bracelet that was made out of star-burst wrappers it was so neat I can't wait to wear it

Sookie gave me a merlotte's apron with glitter(how did you know I was a fanatic about glitter?  Wink)

Then there were these two fantastic totes that are going to come in great handy for school thanks!

and the second one...

O, but wait I'm not done..there was a surprise inside the one tote and it was a comic(that I have already read, b/c my fiance snatched that up as soon as he got home from work lol) and a bag of blood.

Here is my loot together!!

Applesin you did a WONDERFUL job on my package and I am very great full, thank you!!

2  pop/soda/beverage remainders swap in New Swap Theme Ideas by melinda06sue on: November 15, 2010 03:03:58 AM

Okay, so tonight I was up late sick  Cry and thought of this idea.  A swap that we strictly use remainders of beverages, plus others if need be.  Such as pop cap bracelets, soda can mirrors, purses, pop tab bracelets, hair pieces, magnets, etc.
I would think a fairly small swap, probably 3-4points? You guys think this would have some ppl interested...anyone?  Plus one thing that would be neat, low shipping for one, for two if you swap with someone out of the country you live in you may get some neat caps/cans/stuff.

4  Summer purse+reversible in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by melinda06sue on: August 11, 2010 04:43:49 PM
I made this cute purse out of some sale fabric I picked up at JoAnns and sewed it together for my mom I kinda don't want to give it up it's so cute lol, It ended up being reversible even though I didn't inted it to be.

this was the inside with two pockets, my fiance was a champ helping me photograph lol, the handles were made out of the outside fabric, I don't know if you can tell but the inside is red n has tiny white polka dots.

The outside

Just to show how much it would hold, it'd hold probably three or four of those books.
C&C welcome!! Thanks! Smiley

5  Re: Bookmark Swap Round 3 Gallery of Bibliophilic Love in The Swap Gallery by melinda06sue on: August 11, 2010 04:31:43 PM
I received two of my bookmarks already and love them both, they were from tonistagg(the blue one) and kckoala1(the orange one.)  I tried to get a close up on them the orange one twice bc both ends are different, both ends of the blue one ae the same.  These will occupy my books at the start of the fall semester in two weeks (I'm a college student)

Thank you both for some great bookmarks, I have some doubts on mine now... Embarrassed

6  Nutty Pillow in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by melinda06sue on: July 25, 2010 10:04:02 PM
So my mother-in-law's birthday was this past week and she desperately needed some new pillows for her couch.  Her and the father-in-law love squirrels and so this is what I came up with.

Thats a close up of the squirrel and nut applique that I did, they are done in a dark brown velvet, and outlined with a tan thread. Sorry the pictures are a little blurry they were taken with a cell phone.

Thats the full front, excuse the lack of stuffing I ran out and the fiance hasn't gotten me more to fill it up yet lol  Cheesy

And the back, Hope you all like it...C&C welcome!  Cool
