1  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: My First "Art Yarn" big pics...cheesy on: May 14, 2007 12:10:45 AM
That looks great.  I love orange and the idea of the doodles is cool.  You should see if you can get a cheese flavoured perfume to spray on it!   Grin

3  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Colourful! on: May 04, 2007 12:20:59 PM
It has been ages since I posted on here.  I miss the place.  So good to see  so many people taking up spinning.

I have been spinning lots lately, following a bit of a break.  I have always been spinning but had a real burst of productivity recently.  I was desperate for some bright colours, thanks to the grey clouds we have had here recently.

Anyway, enough of the chit chat, here are the fruits of my labour:

I have put more on my website, but these three are my favourite I think.

What do you think?

I love that, especially the cloud pin as well.  It reminds me of happy sunny days!

That is soooo cool!  I love it.  In my current Katamari obsession I wanted it to be a katamari ball on  the end...I have issues.

That is so cute! All this Katamari stuff looks so fun, but it really confused me, as I'm in the UK, but I see you are too. Is the game available now, or did you import it?

We ♥ Katamari is available for the PS2 in the UK and isn't too expensive either!  So go get a copy!  You will not regret it if just for the cutest characters and craziest music ever on a game!

<lj-cut text="naaaa na na na na na na na kat-a-mari dam-a-cy...">

I am obsessed.

I too love Katamari!!!   And its always nice to know that I am not the only one walking around humming/singing that song......

Great job on the purse - are the eyes/nose/mouth stitched on afterwards or worked in?

I am forever humming the song!  The face is stitched on afterwards but I think if I make another one I will crochet the shapes and stitch them on as I am not totally happy with this one!

Yay! Katamari! Katamari is one the the most fun, innovative games ever, and your bag is adorable! Isn't it funny how the cute stuff in that game just makes you want to craft? I crocheted a stuffed Kuro for by bf (who became more addicted than me despite initial trepidation at my explanations)
I've wanted to make a prince for myself for quite some time, he's just so adorable, but I've never been able to find any decent colored yarn, do you mind me asking what yours is made out of? Awesome job on the bag, now you can use it to meet cool people, heh.

it is funny as my hubby wasn't sure at all about it he thought it wsa just a nonsense game but now he plays it more than me!

I made this bag out of scraps of acrylic yarn as I couldn't find the colours in anything else.  I want to make another out of wool yarn so I can felt it but Imay have to spin and dye it myself I think as I cannot find the colours at the moment!
