1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Captain Pigtail - A toddler pirate costume. on: November 02, 2010 04:05:56 PM
Hi all,
This isn't a particularly original costume and I didn't make all of it, but my 2 year old daughter looked so cute and enjoyed herself so much at her Halloween party, I had to share.

*The pants are home made - help from a tute on HandyHomeProjects Blog.
*The waistcoat is home made - help from a pattern "ORLANDO VEST by Der Donzi". I have since added some gold braid to the front of it but I don't have any batteries for my camera in the house.
*The shirt was bought for Euro1 in a sale and I added some sequin buttons, and lace on the front and cuffs.
*The hat was bought as I didn't have enough time to make one. It was a little too large so she wore a stocking cap underneath (a pair of stripey tights with the legs tied together to make the head section and the feet folded up into the legs out of sight).

2  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Oche Shamhna Daoibh! Happy Halloween on: November 01, 2010 02:03:16 AM
Oche Shamhna Daoibh!
This is my first posting with pictures but I had so much fun making decorations this year I thought I could share them.
My first ever pumpkin.

A paper cutout I printed from the BHG website. I couldn't find my craft knife so I had to cut it with a scissors! The other cutouts I did were much simpler.

Happy pumpkin paper cutouts with tissue pasted over the holes. My 2 year old daughter did the glue-ing.

To creepify the pictures hanging in my hallway I printed out some scary pictures that I found on the internet and sticky-tacked them over the hall pictures.

And of course there were buns!

I would like to say that the camera was bad, but actually my ability to take photographs is really the problem.  Cheesy
