Just sent my stuffie off to his new home!  Can't wait for Saint_Angel to receive it. 

I love that the dad pea has glasses and the carpet is divine. 

Finished my muslin prototype last night, now onto the real thing.  Going to pick up supplies today and hopefully will get the pieces cut out tonight. 

I think I've finally decided on a stuffie.  But who knows, I may get started and completely change tracks.  But I should be able to start crafting tomorrow after a short craft store adventure. 

This swap was so great last time I think I'll have to do it again.

I have finished my RAK Stuffie but now am stuck on the couch with a cold that is just awful.  Good thing is with all that couch time I can do some elaborate brainstorming. 

Hopefully I'll have enough energy to get to the craft store tomorrow!

Woohoo!  Finished another project and it fits the challenge of random act of kindness for January!

Behold a giant beer ...pillow!


A little back story I guess, Red, father to one of my mom's good friends has been in the hospital for a few months.  I saw this pattern in the Son of Stitch 'n Bitch while working on another project and a light bulb went off!  He loves beer, and unfortunately they don't let you have any in the hospital...so why not make some hospital friendly beer!  He loved it!  And it really brightens up the room of drab whiteness.

The ideas are brewing.  Hi Saint_Angel *waves*  very excited to get working on your stuffie.  I just have to finish up a random act of kindness stuffie for a friend in the hospital and then my full attention will be with your stuffie with a function!

I tried to resist signing up but the ideas that are being tossed around are so exciting.  Just sent in my questionnaire.

I've finished two projects on the list so far.  One WIP from last year, a miniature modified version of the weekender to be used as a lunch box for two:


It has outside pockets on each side and a top strap.  I also used insulating interfacing to keep things cold or hot as they may need. 
The person I gave it to also likes space so I lined the inside with some space fabric I found in my stash:

As you may notice I ran a little short on space so I substituted some patch work with the exterior piping fabric to make it work. 

The other project  I finished was a mini patchwork wallet.  Leslieshappyheart had sent me some scrap of black and white material to play around with scrappy patchwork.  This is what I came up with:



The bow was a leftover from a vintage piece I had modified and I thought it added just the right splash of color.  I made the wallet with a big pocket for cash and then two facing pockets for cards. 

I feel like I'm off to a great start on my list, I just hope I can keep up the momentum.
