1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Messenger Bag. May the force be with you too! on: November 20, 2005 06:50:25 PM
Hubby's best friend is a major Star Wars fanantic. So I made this for him. Hope he likes it.

It's huge. The above pics make it look more like a purse....it's totally a man bag. And no....my legs are not dirty! Ha Ha! I'm a proud burn survivor!

Umbrelly pocket on side and also elastic bands for blueberry, pda, calculator and etc., etc.,

And pocket on the outer side for cell.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New Boho type sling bag. I'm sick of this material...lol. on: November 17, 2005 07:14:59 PM
I'm trying to make some extra goodies for the neices this Christmas.....I'm totally sick of this camo material....lol.

The first was taken from one of my origianl 70's/80's boho type sling bags....I just copied and modified the bag somewhat. And it has a lining and inside pocket for my cell and lipstick.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A purse, a pillow and Hank Williams Jr.! on: November 04, 2005 08:21:14 PM
Ok, Disregard Hank....lol. I needed him to hold things up for the pictures.
I made these out of some old overalls that my daughters outgrew this year.

And with extra pant leg I came up with a small neck pillow for the car maybe. (I like to sleep on those long car trips.)

4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Who needs a quick and easy no sew costume idea for last minute? Try this! on: October 27, 2005 08:50:13 AM

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Duct tape treat bag.......New pic added! on: October 25, 2005 05:27:52 PM
Duct tape treat bag....... Actually it was a Lipton Tea Box that I covered in duct tape...... so it's really cheating I guess.....that is.....if anyone made up any rules for this kind of thing......

Here's a treat bag I made for my two year old to carry her "goodies" in.....

Original posted here.....

Here's my lil tea bag....
6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Need some help for "The End of the Twentieth Century" Costumes!!!! on: October 25, 2005 06:01:06 AM
My boyfriend and I are  going to a themed party this year. The theme is "The End of the Twentieth Century". Alot of local filmakers and artsy type people will be there so I really want to impress......any ideas? Crafters save me!

The year before last we went as Roy and the CAT....He dressed in glittery tights and fluffy shirt and I had the cat costume and I added cat stratches down the side of his face. That was what was currently in the news that year.

I'm in the process of finishing my two year old daughters costume now.....she's going as a tea bag! I'll post pictures......this was the easiest costume I've ever made.
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / More bags made from yard sale finds. on: October 19, 2005 04:43:48 PM
This one I made from some quilt squares.....I used interfacing so it's quite stiff and has an inside pocket. The lining is also quilt squares and can be reversed also.

Another one.....also with inside pocket. I really liked the print on this material. The lining is soft pink.

And a wallet....I kinda got confused halfway through......but I think it still turned out kinda cute.

Thanks for looking!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / So...I bought a bolt of camo material....... on: October 17, 2005 08:07:33 AM
I stopped at the best garage sale ever this weekend........a former employee of Hancock's fabrics! I have fabric galore! Included was a bolt (yes a whole bolt) of this camo material for two bucks! I really need to jazz them up with something as I think they are begging to be something more than they are....any suggestions?

This one I posted before on another thread.....but here it is again.

What else am I going to do with it?
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Ballerina Tote for my niece! on: October 16, 2005 11:37:19 AM
I made this for my niece.
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Nephew's new messenger bag. Camo! on: October 16, 2005 11:32:02 AM
My nephew needed a new bag to take to school. (He's 8 so I think he got jealous because I had made his little sister a tote bag for school.) So I came up with this. There are pockets on the inside and also a place for pencils, pens or markers.

It looks rather crooked in the pics but I promise it's not really!
