11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Bead Swap Round 2 on: April 13, 2005 10:18:33 AM
These are the beads I recieved from twilight021.  My crappy photo just does not do their loveliness justice at all!

She sent me a write up, too, as to what the healing properties of the different stones are, which is an extra appreciated and above and beyond the call of swapster duty. Smiley

My booty includes malachite, smoky quartz, hematite, crystal quartz, and amazonite.

I feel like I made out like a bandit.  Thank you so much!
12  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Cabled Purse on: April 13, 2005 09:21:55 AM
Mother's day gift, completed well in advance...woot!

Pattern is from Last Minute Knitted Gifts, and I substituted Nature Spun Sport for the Koigu Premium Merino called for in the pattern because my LYS didn't have the KPM and I didn't feel like waiting for it to come in the mail.   Cheesy
13  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Angora Baby Hat --ideas? on: April 06, 2005 07:05:40 AM
I wanted to make the booties in Last Minute Knitted Gifts, and ordered some angora yarn from www.angora-yarn.com.  Unfortunately I didn't notice that the yarn she's got on her site is homespun angora until it arrived, which wouldn't work for the booties.  (So I got some Belangor, and made them with that. And they came out splendidly, btw.)

Anyway, now I have a 50 gram ball of really lovely homespun angora and I'd like to make a baby hat to match the booties I just made.  Does anyone have any suggestions for free patterns that would work with chunky-ish yarn?
