31  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Purse and Wallet on: June 11, 2010 10:16:27 PM
So I have been working on this for a long time.  I have always wanted to crochet a purse that I would actually use and  be able to hold all my stuff.  I have seen a lot of sewn purses that looked like this before and decided to make my own but in crochet. It was pretty simple, but the repetition got boring.  Finally though, I am able to lug all of my stuff around in this bag.

I wanted the back of the bag to look as good as the front so I made sure to have the handles go all the way down the back too.

This wallet allows me to be able to reach in and grab what I need quickly.  The colors are a little off in these picture.  The purse green and the wallet green are the same color but look different.  Thats what I get for using a cheap camera I guess.

The wallet is lined with the same material as the purse.  I have never sewn before and a friend of mine recommened getting a craft(permanent) clear drying glue that would hold my linings together.  It has been a week and my lining is still holding up, just as good as they day I put it up.  I may never learn to sew because of this glue
32  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bella's Tobogan in Twilight on: May 31, 2010 09:32:13 AM

I'm new to this and haven't posted 10 times in the forum, therefore picture won't show unless you go to the website.
(ETA: or a mod comes along and inserts the pic for you. ^_-)

This was a project I did a long time ago, but never got around to posting it.  School= Black hole of time.  Thankfully, now that it is summer, I should be able to share more things.  With Eclipse coming out soon, I thought I should post this for all those Twilight lovers out there.  If you recall the scene at La Push Beach in Twilight, Bella was wearing a crocheted tobogan.  I have seen others try to make it and thought I could make it more accurate to the movie version, so I made my own.  It came in handy with the epic snow we got during the winter this year.  I
hope you like it and hopefully I will be posting many more projects in days to come.

33  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / human amigurumi on: May 12, 2010 05:18:08 PM
I'm trying to find a free human amigurumi pattern so I can make some different people that I have been tempted to make recently.  I've looked around and have found alot of doll patterns but they look too doll like and not human like, or are not the full body.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.
