The colors you used in the second painting are neat! I like using a lighter blue with a bright red in some of my paintings as well. Cool painting you did for your friend as well, you can definitely get a sense of where the light is coming from  Smiley

I love it :] you really get a sense of the softness of their skin and how different parts of their body rest. My favorite would have to be the first drawing of the woman. The composition is great, her hair is nicely done. I know I could never do that with charcoal. Me + charcoal = enemies and the quick contour line studies are always interesting to look at  Cheesy Well done!

350C? Are you sure that shouldn't be 350F? I've never seen a C oven go past 250

1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
2 cups grated carrots
1/2 cup chop nuts (optional)

1) In a mixing bowl, beat sugar, oil, and eggs for 1 minute on high speed with an electric mixer. set aside
2) Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices. Stir in flour mixture with liquid mixture.
3) Stir in carrots and nuts.
4) Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for 55min @ 350 degrees Celsius.

I've been making carrot cake since I was a little girl and people always seems to like this recipe, especially diabetics :] Just a suggestion! good luck and hopefully your boyfriend likes it  Cheesy
