I just made this with a navy tee and a goldenrod
/navy raglan sleeve tee (as the dress portion).
I LOVE the colour combo but I had to take in the width of the shirt for the cowl top (I used my husband's cast off XL tees) otherwise it drooped too low.
I do have quite a bit of tee shirt under the armpits. It looks a little goofy, I might have to alter it again. I had a hard time getting the elastic a way I liked but I have very little experience sewing with elastic.
This is my FIRST sewing without a pattern project. I can't wait to try again with a lighter weight tee, I think I'll try tie dying them first as well.
